Movingalong's Sunday

Thank you for the thread-starter, Jalla.

Responsibility. hmmmmm.

"Our real purpose is to fit ourselves to be of maximum service to God and the people about us."

"we discovered we did not need to consider another's conception of God."

"Step Eleven: Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood God, praying only for knowledge of God's will for us and the power to carry that out."

-- quotes from A.A. Big Book

"The simple purpose of the program of Alcoholics Anonymous is to show what may be done to enlist the aid of a Power greater than ourselves, regardless of what our individual conception of that Power may be."

-- written for the Wilmington Delaware AA group of 1944 -- it was read aloud at their local meetings. (This was before the "AA Preamble" was written in 1947)

Higher Power, Greater Wisdom, what is the most useful, helpful thing I can do today, so as to fit myself to be of maximum service to all, in a way that truly serves, in a balanced way?

re-focus

Higher Power, Greater Wisdom, what is the Big Picture?
What long-term goals do you envision for me?
How does this action fit into that?
What can my next right action be -- right now?
What will lead me on the path to *real* joy?

I am ready to create...

Thanks Jalla, a sobering reminder - and yet a positive one - think of CREATION. Form and substance.

My day so far has been a negative creation- more black whole than substance.  However, I'm here now, sitting at my desk, a healthy b'fast and lunch.

 To do:

- order vial

-email R

- coffee w T at 5

- drop into hospital to see R at 6

- church at 7

Priority: pharmacology, do 10min timed questions until have to leave at 430, likely 20min nap as otherwise not concentrate mid afternoon.

check off so far:

-email

-placed order
