Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
I got a depressing reality check that the major project I have been working (and procrastinating) on may not realistically get done by the deadline. Sigh. Trying to keep my head down, put one foot in front of the other, and call on my Higher Power to make the call.
Already done today:
-run
-2 poms writing (note taking)
to do:
-4 poms grading: 1 2 3 4
-community project (no more than 2 hours)
PROMISE OF THE DAY: Promise 4
Well-planned and completed actions will be our new way of life; organizing will become second nature. The desire to daydream, task avoidance, and the dread of actions will disappear, as we find pleasure anad spiritual fulfillment in completing the task before us.
OK. Yesterday was hard, but today can be better. I just need to keep reminding myself how capable I am, and that just because something is hard it doesn't mean I've failed. It just means it's hard and I need to use my brain to get round it. And sometimes things are too hard and you need someone to help you.
Today I have:
Had breakfast
Had a shower
put the washing on
Today I will:
Go through C&F and contact them
Go through an identify VAT-altering items on the purchase ledger and prioritise those calls/emails.
Code all the fuel receipts
Code all the fitters
plan allocation of remaining receipts inc sense-check
allocate as much as you can - email/call client if you have to
Hang washing
Finish unload DW
Have lunch
Prep dinner (soup?)
Get knitting ready
Get ready at 4.15
Leave at 4.30
Smile because you're off to do fun stuff that you deserve.
Good night's sleep in a warm bed woke feeling grateful.
