I'm not sure this is what everyone else here means by pom's but for me it's shorthand for pomodoro's, one of several helpful techniques I've learned about from PA-ers:
I was laid out with a bad cold this weekend and got next to nothing done. However, I am learning to focus on my successes instead of my failures. I did self clean the oven yesterday, and I also made chili. I also bit the bullet and sent off an email to a client even though I was not satisfied with the form I had to attach. The gmail issue seems to have cleared up. This morning I woke up early due to all the sleep this weekend and have some time and willingness to make more progress.

for right now: take medications, teeth, hair, dress, pack lunch and trash

It is 21.28 and I am very tired and for bed.
Bed and sleep
My project E colleague was out so no progress on that today. But still it took 12 hours to complete other work and emerging issues of the day, which means I didn't get home in time to do any packing. I can honestly say I did not procrastinate today at work. But i did work-binge and it cost me: when I got home I procrastinated eating for over two hours. Proof that I am powerless, insane, and self willed - desperately in need of a Power Greater than myself to run my show.
Thank you jalla, that starter is so helpful for me today. I have become aware that much of my depression is over the ethics of my current work. While I do not have resolution, at least I know what is going on for me.
Using this forum in a 'chat box' kind of way, as that is what usually helps most. My goal for today is to finish and deliver the S project, which will take a lot of 'sticking with it'. Also important is a bike ride for exercise and at least one phone call. Other tasks can maybe be postponed so I can focus on MIT.

Later: 10.10 am already gone off plan :( (although I did do something productive). Procrastinating on getting showered and dressed prior to MIT.
11.05 am: 15 min burst to at least get started, then will have tea and snack. Starting now
11.40 am: Did 30 mins on S project :), having tea and small break now.
12.00 noon: Break went really fast, will do 2 more x 15 mins, then bike ride, then lunch. Starting now!
12.30 pm: 2x 15 mins done, bike ride now.
2.50 pm: Did bike ride, had lunch, took phone call - but late back from lunch :(. One important phone call, then must keep writing S.
3.50 pm: phone call was successful, have done a little writing but mostly research on S. Must write next - break for 5 mins only now.
5.15 pm: Yay! project S which has been hanging over me for SO long is done! except for a final edit and proofread which I'll do tomorrow morning. Completetion not perfection! Now I can go out to my music practice :)
Didn't check in yesterday, but had end on end things to do - no room for procrastination.
Thank you so much jalla for the starter. I have been battling with something I wish I had not done- and wish I had done something about it much sooner. Time to let it go. And hope it made me grow.

Slick clip - it is such a simple but effective idea. I use a monkey timer:-) I think I prob stuggle with point 2: drowning out distractions.
