I am still stressed out and feeling like a failure, but I know I can get stuff done anyhow:
Here is what I would ideally like to get done today:
Prep 10 lab mtg slides (1.5 hr) (working on this now) (one slide done!)
Get miRNA sequences (1.5 hr)
Submit mm10 alignment jobs (30 min)
Come up w/ FACS protocol (1 hr)
"Dry run" of FACS protocol (1 hr)
Deal w/ 10 c R8 (1 hr)
Check pl/set up, email KP(30 min)
Exercise (1 hr)
Dinnerw/ bf and his dad
I will try to do a minimum of 4 hrs of these tasks, keeping a time log

Back from holiday. Overnight flight, no sleep on the plane, frustrated and upset at that. Some sleep here but bad food, time zone change and weird sleep have me feeling like a zombie. But I can do a few things and tomorrow will be better.
feels weird checking in when I am not officially back to work til Monday, but there's much I can do at home and a few bits I can prepare for next week. The post-holiday hangover is going to bite hard.
Today I/we have already:
got home in one peice after an exhausting journey.
Bought healthy food
Had a good breakfast to mitigate the flight one.
had a little sleep
today I will:
put a wash on
check freezer for dinner
me and DH did
make a good dinner

I admit that I am powerless over my procrastination and debt and that my life had become unmanageable. I came to believe that a Power greater than myself could restore me to sanity and I made a decision to turn my will and my life over to the care of God. I humbly ask God to remove my shortcomings. I pray constantly and unceasingly only for knowledge of God's will for me today and the power to carry that out.
Its not about the tasks - its about listening to the moment and going with the flow of the spirit - today.
Its not about the money, its about listening to the simplicity of need and contentment - today.
Its 1430 and after a relaxing morning with friends - my 'weekend' is over.
In my mind I can visualised me passing my exam in Feb & March. How? lots of past questions and reading around the topics of revision. Cost? 2hours min each work day, 6hours min each non work day. What does this mean? no internet, no TV, no pfaffing - if its not a task, don't do it! Why? To be a better doctor.
Main goal: ear and vision mcqs using timer method 20/20/20 - 2hours now, 2hours tonight
