I fought the nappy feeling this afternoon and won! Plus, I went for a walk this evening even though my neck hurt and I felt a headache coming on, and I think I feel better now. Probably better for my neck if I move around more instead of sitting and reading or watching TV.

Today I'm thankful for: the beautiful evening we enjoyed on our walk - warm weather (for this part of the world!), bright moon, fresh country air.

Good night.

I want my back accounting to be worked on, but I don't want to have to do it myself. If that makes sense to anyone...

jj's telling on myself 4:15 p.m. CI

So, literally minutes after posting my new years resolutions on one of the other forums here, one of which was to take care of myself by eating healthy, I immediately got out the leftover holiday chocolates for an afternoon snack :O What am I thinking? Or am I thinking at all?

On the up side, I sat down with my book instead of watching Young and Restless on TV (one of my resolutions to read more/watch less TV).

jj's 3:00 p.m. CI

Hi, everyone and Happy New Year. Was thrown off a bit when I couldn't log on this morning - isn't that a convenient excuse for not getting my new year off to the dazzling start I was planning on!

One of my resolutions was to get up earlier, but didn't get up until 9 today as I had difficulty falling asleep last night, then R was up at 4:30 with a sore throat, then the extreme wind kept me awake.

Feeling very nappy right now. Don't know whether to fight it, or give in. Been very tired lately, lots of headaches, stomach not feeling right. Maybe all the junk I've eaten over the holidays.

Mollie's First (Ever) Check-In

I'm brand-new to this list, but unfortunately extraordinarily familiar with procrastination. I've made myself miserable for years by procrastinating. For the past six months, I've been trying various new things to get a handle on it. I'm hoping that joining this group will provide me with another means of addressing this issue and that I may be of help to others as well.

So I just made my to do list for today (I use a program called MyLife Organized). Just looking at it, thinking about posting it here, and imagining other people's reactions, I can see that there's too much on it, so I'm already feeling self-conscious. I guess I'll go ahead & post it anyway.

Ugh! I feel like I'm making excuses, but I just starting posting the list and realized I have a logistical problem (which resulted in my deleting what I'd typed here). My procrastination issues are most troubling with respect to work. The work I do, and therefore the tasks I would post here, are in conjunction with work for clients, which is confidential. I tried doing the list using initials, but it got too confusing & some clients have the same initials anyways. Also, even posting the things to do sometimes reveals too much info. Anyone else here ever run into a similar problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mollie

Following up

It strikes me that I can certainly post that I have a writing project due today (firm deadline) that I've been putting off. There's time to do it if I get going, but I've been up since 5:15am and have yet to get started. I'll plan to check-in later with my progress.
Mollie

Still working on it

I'm not going to meet my writing deadline today, but I will finish by tonight and that may still be OK. I've been working fairly consistently all day.
Mollie

Hi Monica,

When you're here first and start the day thread, could you put a "good morning" message in there so I don't have to do it later? I know you know how because of that fancy signature you have. ;)

Thanks.

Will Do

By the way, did you get up at 6 am this morning?

yup, I did

I got up, and then I lay around all day because all my Web sites and my email accounts were down. I could have worked on my back taxes, I suppose.
