I'm watching "Pirates of the Caribbean" and it isn't over until 11pm. But I've seen it before. Anyway I'm ready for bed.

  • Make bed (convert futon back into couch).
  • Lay out pills for the day.
  • Take pills - dose 1 of 3.
  • Wash dishes.
  • Shower and dress.
  • Put in contacts.
  • Water plants.
  • Purge bookcases to make room for new books (started).
  • Go to meeting.
  • Go to Farmer's Market.
  • Go to bookstore.
  • Get mail.
  • Take pills - dose 2 of 3.
  • Finish purging bookcases to make room for new books.
  • Emptied overflowing shredder.
  • Pay dues for professional organizations that are due by year end.
  • Sort pile into "Soon", "Urgent", and "File".
  • Handle health insurance renewal for new year (premium is up $60/month).
  • Refill prescriptions before January 1, when a new DOUBLED deductible goes into effect.
  • Mail insurance stuff, bring down books, check today's mail.
  • Take pills - dose 3 of 3.
  • 1-2 hours Chinese study (AFTER pile).
  • Wash dishes.
  • Bedtime routine.

I'm cold, I'm tired and I have a headache. I've been wanting to take a nap for the past few hours, hoping it would help me feel better. But, I know if I do, it will disrupt my sleep pattern tonight and I may not be able to get up on time.

Well, I've created the situation I always seem to create. Now I'm under dire pressure to get certain things postmarked by the end of today - 2006. I took laundry off the list for today since that's definitely not going to happen.

At today's DA meeting, I arranged for a pressure relief meeting on Friday, at which I'm supposed to bring my financial records (of which I have none because I'm so behind). This is inspiring me to catch up.

I have a serious book crisis. I bought a bunch of new books to help me learn Chinese, and I have no where to put them. I need to go through my bookcases and find books to discard.

I'm trying to find books that I don't read and can get rid of, but I already did a purge recently, and I love all my books. I wish I had more space for them. I'll have to try harder - I can't have books stacked on every surface in here.

Yesterday was a disaster. I never did my paperwork. I studied Chinese all day. I never even went out (though I got dressed). Today has to be better.

I almost decided to go back to sleep when my alarm went off at 6am, but I thought better of it and got up. For the last hour I've been answering email. (Wow - an hour has slipped by already.)

I debated for a while after my alarm went off about whether I REALLY wanted to get up at 6am. In the end I did. I knew I'd have felt bad later if I went back to sleep.
