kromer's getting-on-a-normal-schedule Project

Hi all!

Last night, I stayed up until 1:30 and then accidentally slept in until 9:40 and was 20 min late to an important meeting at work.

This is not OK, and shows me that I need to work to get on a regular schedule.

So: I'm going to commit to 30 days of schedule.

Goal is to be in bed around 11, and to be up around 6 or 7.

BUT I will consider it a success if I am in bed by 12 and up before 8.

I will check in daily to report who I've done.

kromer 5/15

A few days of failure at this, then last night/this morning I got back on schedule (bed a little before 12, up at 6:20). Yay!

5/10 gah!

Wow! This is hard!

I went to bed only a little late (12:05)--and managed to tear myself away from stuff I thought I "should" be doing.
But, I didn't get up until 8:55. Yikes!

5/9 mess-up again

Man, this is embarassing.
Bed at 1:25, up at 8:55. Yikes! Committing to getting back on schedule tonight, no matter how interesting/important the things I'm doing before bed seem...

5/8 mess-up

well, I went to bed last night at 12:10 and didn't get up until 8:40. Boo!

Things I can do to address this:
Well, I called a friend right before I was supposed to head home, and of course we ended up talking for almost an hour, and then it took me a long time to get home because I was leaving so late. Friends are important, but I would have been better served by going home and making the call after I got home or on another day.

5/7 schedule

ok, well I totally messed this up on Saturday.

On Sunday, I managed to be up by 8 and in bed before 8.

And today I was up by 7:10.

I'm going to try to move toward a more normal schedule, but I'm doing more or less OK.

Progress Not Perfection!

Hi Kromer,  I want to get on a regular schedule, too.  Congrats for working on it!

I have a good idea of when I should go to bed and get up, but I've ruined it many times with late studying or writing papers or work.  My work schedule screws things up the most, really.  But, since I've put the scheduled sleep time in place, I've done better than I would have had I not made a sleep schedule...  :)

Keep up the good work Kromer!  You can do it!
