Each step is infinitely more than nothing.

If I can do just one step on the thing I do not want to do,

I will be moving forward.

Courage. Serenity. Wisdom. Today I can recognize and value the small actions.

fudoshin: groundrules for self/checkin 4.23.12

Please do not leave advice or feedback.  Thank you.  Prayers welcome.

I need some ground rules if I'm going to be successful.  Yes, I carried out the no-stalking for a fixed period of time, but I need to insure that I do well in school for the rest of the week (eke the term) and am on time for my job , as well as well-nourished for it.  No more Sunday nights, and no more sleeping on the damn couch.

1) I exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes everyday, this includes walking, but is designed to help me get some distance in terms of my running plan.  It doesn't need to be done by 12am, but it's recommended, obviously I am going to shoot for that.

2)  After 10:30pm Sunday through Thursday, I can only participate in one of the following: school work, getting ready for bed, brushing my teeth etc (includes folding clothes if they're on my bed), finishing exercise, 12 step related activities (outreach call, writing for release, sharing for release).

* This means I need to save up any television shows or movies I intend to watch until later.

3) I attend at least one SLAA meeting per week.   I attend one of the following {CoDA, OSPA, PA}.

4) If I have outstanding homework, I prioritize homework by completing at least 30 minutes of work on it per day (minimum).

These are just in place until the end of the term.  Naturally I want to shoot for going to sleep around 10:30pm so I can wake up at 6:30am, and I do not want to stay up too late on Fridays or Saturdays, b/c I need to acclimate myself to being awake.

Journey 10:30 *whines*

Feeling very blah today.   I did make it to the gym but was 30 minutes late to work.   Partly my fault, partly horrible traffic (wreck on the freeway).   I am feeling very sad, depressed, bored, tired.   I'm not sick, I just don't feel like doing anything.   I did very little yesterday, just the minimum of housework and cooking to get by, and watched a lot of tv.   This isn't usual for me and I really feel for people who deal with depression on a constant basis because it really sucks, and I will be very happy when this mood passes.   I will be working with a vendor for the rest of the week so I'll not have much opportunity for procrastination, and probably not much opportunity to check in either.   I am dreading the whole experience which is probably contributing to my bad mood.    In the meantime, there is today to get though and I will first read email, then make todo list and prepare for the noon meeting.   I will be working on Project O today for the most part, as my other projects are either in the planning or waiting stages.   I'll check back if I get stuck, which is fairly likely.

Journey - you pretty much

Journey - you pretty much decribed my weekend, except i spent more time on the computer than tv.  I had plan - things i really needed to do, and i just sat like a blob, and felt like a blob.  I know i'm depressed, but can't seem to break the cycle.  Anyway, i'm going to start the 1st project now because it has to be done this afteroon.
