Having a SUPER hard time concentrating
So far today I've done volunteer tax prep, checked on expts, and talked to a friend. And wasted A LOT of time on the internet

I'm super-behind, but I am not going to get all the way caught up today, so here's reasonable list.

Finish writing project (due today, should take about an hour)
Make 3 slides
Start htseq-count running on samples

Then I'll go home, have dinner, watch some TV, wash my dishes and clean my bathroom and do my hand laundry, and NOT THINK ABOUT WORK.

Complete Assignment

All I have to do is complete an assignment by midnight (was due yesterday).  I can't stop going on Tumblr.

St Patrick's Day...

I am feeling full of resistance, and as if I could end up doing the bare minimum today... my main focus ought to be working on my presentation, but it's as if I need the deadline to literally be looming, like the guillotine blade descending on my neck, before I 'feel' like I really (really) 'need' to do the work. I'm so fed up with this pattern of behaviour!!!!!

Yet, what did I read here? About having a journey of a thousand miles, and taking just one step a day you WILL eventually get there, whereas if you take NO steps, you go nowhere...

  • go to women's meeting
  • do some decluttering/laundry/cleaning
  • have a bath
  • walk dogs
  • open google docs/presentation
  • find images
  • do some research
  • create some questions to help me shape my presentation
  • get ready for a night out...
and what will we eat? and I'd like to bake some bread...
Ok, need to go.
