Last 10 days have gone in a bad direction. I'm back to overeating, overspending, shifting between not practicing at all and last minute binge practicing, my house is a mess, my sleep routine sucks and I haven't excercised for a week or so. I can feel my mind slipping into zombie mode, and every day becomes a series of dull motions to go through.

It's hard to tell what came first: The bad mood or the bad habits, but either way, I'll try and turn this thing around.

Edit: Will try and change my sleep routine for the better instad. Goonight y'all.

OK, so far not a great day...I really over-planned for yesterday, with the result that I didn't nearly get through my list, and feel really behind already.

And, I was late to work today (combo of over-sleeping and horrible luck with buses/trains), so that doesn't feel good either.

OK, well I'm going to try to make a reasonable list for today and do my best:
*He staining of slides I sectioned yesterday, eval. morph. (working on this now)
*Check on expts
*Do script
*Plan for girl's group, shop
*Finish working on ctrl for MK expts, email MK
*Organize my slides to stage
*Email about social events

*Call about checks, credit card and donation

Starting w/ girls grp planning + work on control.

marcelor check-in at 8.40

To do:

Read G thesis 4*20 min very interesting and useful stuff

Lunch with A

Work on abstract for C conf 3*20 min I did put in 3*20 min although not a lot of writing. Better than nothing and will continue tomorrow.

Email re M stove and received a response!

Find Z papers and research min amount  started

Research STS 1 hour

Wait until 6 p.m. for ID and C sites Not even finding this difficult to do despite the fact that it has been my favourite way to procrastinate for the last few months. Strange.

Write to ME

Watch Super Tues coverage!

More thesis work today so more challenging than yesterday, but I am hopeful that I can stick to it more or less.

Hi, All--good wishes for your day!

I want to feel better about how I use my time, today, than how I used it yesterday. So:

I choose accomplishment in reality over escape, today, particularly in these ways:

Laughing I choose to postpone doing any online puzzles or playing any online games until between 21:30 and 22:00--I know that doing even one, before that, is one too many, because one almost never feels like enough.
Laughing I choose to do my non-fiction listening only before 22:00, and only during chores or exercise or travel before 18:00.
:-( I choose to do my fiction listening only between 18:00 and 22:00 and during chores or exercise or travel or project progress. (I chose to ignore this contraint.)
:-( I choose to read fiction by eye only between 20:00 and 22:00. (I chose to ignore this constraint.)
:-( I choose to experience silence after 22:00. I encourage myself to be in bed by midnight, even if the lights aren't out. I want to feel rested and energetic when I wake up, tomorrow! I want to enjoy at least three hours of morning, IN the late morning, rather than the small hours! (I chose to ignore this constraint.)

Key:
Done or Done Enough--I CELEBRATE THESE!: Laughing
In Progress--I take encouragement from these!: Smiling

I am setting a new healthy boundary for me: no electronics in bed.  I have always taken my Iphone to bed for limited gaming but found that I do fight sleep to continue playing, which is addict behavior I wasn't willing to face.  But now I have an iPad and the problem ramped way up: last two nights I went to bed before 10 but stayed up playing until 3 a.m. one night, 1 a.m. last night.  That's no way to recover, so asking HP to help me resist the beginning.

Rexroth Check In 10.23

Thanks for starting the thread lennon.

Slept well without dreams and woke at 7.30 feeling tired but not exhausted. I need a little time to get used to having my life back, no operation and I am OK to get on with any exercise, travel or whatever I want. It is a bit of a good shock.

I'm going to take it easy today.

Done:
Up prayer and reflection
Checked emails and posts

Todo:
Rest, think, relax take it easy
Constructive realistic planning
Wash up and sort out some food in freezer
A little admin if I feel like it

That will do for now

Thirteen (unlucky for some) items there, I'm sure there's a few more that I'm leaving out, like doing a ten minute tidy-up of my living room... But already I feel more focused and energised, in other words prepared. Today I want to be more consistent and follow through.

Hazy's check-out

Felt so positive this morning, must try to write another tdl tonight (I used 'evernote' on my smartphone...)

Had a fairly interesting day: realised (not for the first time) that I don't do 'stress' very well, I don't express myself very well when I'm upset, and I have a tendency to get frustrated with people who I feel are misunderstanding me or putting unrealistic expectations on me.

All good. Need to remember my HP is available to me, but I forget!!!!! Will set my intention for tomorrow accordingly (remember to connect regularly and frequently with my HP).
