Journey 10:30 horrible!

OMG y'all I was so bad yesterday!   I was late getting here, which was planned, as I had to make a stop by the credit union.   I had a very stressful meeting at noon which lasted from noon until almost 2:30.   I managed to prep for the meeting but I was so stressed out by it that I got nothing done in the afternoon.   I went over and over financial issues in my mind after the Credit Union visit and a call from my retirement account person, nothing concrete, just general useless worrying.   After worrying about money for a while, I went over and over everything I said in the meeting to determine if I sounded like an idiot or not.   The meeting and the credit union visit were successful but I wasted the rest of the day pretty much just worrying, panicking over nothing, and general freaking out.    I used to spend a lot of days like that before joining this fellowship.    I should have come here yesterday to vent but I did not.

Anyway, I am here now and today is a new day.   It won't be the most productive day in the world, as I also planned to come in late today to do a bit of car maintenance and shopping for the trip to my daughter's house tonight.    Our holiday luncheon is at noon, and then the movers are coming at 4:00 so we have to be packed up a ready to move offices.    Not a  big move, we're just moving to a different floor but still it's  a hassle.

So, from now until the luncheon I'll review my todo list for urgent items - no point in making a full todo list today, but I will work on my documentation project, do my time sheet, and any urgent items that may be on my list that I can't think of right this red hot minute.

Ah, thanks for being here you guys, I feel better already!

Jo

Be confident.  Stay focused.   One thing at a time.

Positive thoughts Jo!

Sounds like a stressful day. Hope you're back into smoother waters.

Go, Jo!

Journey, sorry to hear you got stuck in a worry loop -- but good for you picking yourself up and moving on!  And isn't it great to recognize that you've made progress and the worry loop is no longer a habit?  Hope your luncheon and move went great!

ok i came here this morn cuz i could not do what i needed to do.

been here awhile. It has helped. The solidarity. But i think i can read my bible now, and hopefully that will give me inspiration and motivation to go on to do the next right thing.

1:21pm:

thanks vic! solidarity.

so, i read my bible. as always it got me out of my own head into god's ideas. always helps.

that motivated me to go to the club. great workout listening to christian music. Extremely uplifing for the mind / spirit / body.

but...

my struggle for the day is large. and having a lot of work at Christmas is hard. I think i am having an "actual hard day" not a hard day that i bring on myself because of my addiction / thot patterns. I think i am legitimately stressed, not the usual stress i bring on myself.

But i am steeled to the task. I am here, checking in. I will make a schedule, and follow it, even tho i have A LOT to do in a short time.

If God helps me.

2:52pm:

made schedule
did 1st thing (minor)
did 1st thing (major MIT)
feel satisfied. Blessed. Like a power greater than myself restored me to sanity.

now onto next 2 things. 1 minor. 1 major MIT.

Thanks, you took the "words right out of my mouth" or should I say "words right off my post page" (ha ha)

right now, the only tool I feel is reliable, something I can do  and I am willing to use is the chat box. so that will be my next right action. Thanks for being here and yes, the solidarity.

One day at a time. Vic

I want to be peaceful today

I want to peacefully do the tasks that I want to do.

1) I want to forward the bank details

2)  I want to do the report

3) I so much don't want to send in the confirmations ... Ok I want to

I can't do everything perfectly-I ask my higher power for help....... I am powerless about wanting to do things too perfectly..... I could also have some scheduled fun in my life (I do I do-I do not have to feel guilty about it!!!!!)
