Finding a way check in

10.45 am Tuesday

Thanks again for the starter, lennon.

Late check in but have done my bike ride (exercise) and made up my list for the week.

I really don't want to let myself down on the plant work again today. Scared to start in case I don't finish - how ridiculous is that? A quote needs to be done, and preparation for tomorrow; I will try to limit the time I spend on these.

had a black, hopeless day on Sat.

well, i say "hopeless" but i realized at one point during that black day that i never stopped believing that after this life i would be accepted into heaven because of god's free gift to me. Of course in exchange for that gift i want to live a life that honors him. And i often dont. and he offers repentance and forgiveness which are of great value to me and i take advantage of them often. But i found it odd that in my otherwise universally black day there was this hope. A remote hope, yes, but a true hope still.

Sunday got better i dont know why.

today is ok so far. i have to have my quiet time, and i am here hopefully to make that possible.

but the difference is that today i have the perspective, and wisdom and strength to come here to help myself recover from addictive procrastination. But on Sat i didnt even have that.

So thank god for the grace for today.

Journey 11 am

Happy Monday!   I did well on getting up and getting to the gym earlier today.  Unfortunately traffic was so incredibly horrible that my earliness was used up sitting in a traffic jam but still woot!  I was the first one in the office.   Two open trouble calls to deal with first thing.

  • Trouble call #1
  • Trouble call #2
  • Agenda for noon meeting
  • noon meeting
  • J's report
  • monthly goals review
  • OS cert
  • RH planning
  • budget
  • quiet time
  • exercise
  • planning
  • added - DR meeting

Update 5:45 - an excellent day.   I was having trouble facing my two big new projects so I tried Falcon's 10+2x5 hack and worked on them round robin for 10 minutes each for an hour or so.  I didn't think 10 minutes would be a big enough chunk of time but actually I got a good bit done and what the hey, I can face any task for 10 minutes eh?

Be confident.  Stay focused.   One thing at a time.
