Thanks for the starter Rosebud (and yours too lennon).

My schedule has gone out as I took time out to help my mother who has been ill. Glad I helped her but finding it hard to do any work now having arrived home around 3 pm with the intention of getting back into it.

Will try using the chat box now.

Agnus, again

"Routine is the shark cage that lets me swim safely in the real world."  Anonymous

I'm B-a-a-ack!  There are 104 emails in my Inbox. Each one represents time-consuming work. ACK!  God help me.

My ability to deal with stress has definitely diminished with age. Here's what I observe:

The more work before me, the more stressed I become.
The more stressed I am, the greater my risk of error.
The greater the risk, the more carefully and deliberately I work.
The more careful and deliberate I am, the slower I work.
The slower I work, the more the work piles up before me.

I have been working the 12 Steps for 31 years and this is as honest as it gets: I MUST learn to accept imperfection, error, and even failure, or this cycle will kill me from stress.  My health suffers, mentally and physically. My spirit suffers: Who can meditate with this much static in the background?

Off I go to chat through the Tools on clearing my Inbox...good to see some old friends' check-ins here (you especially jo - not the "old" part but the friend, lol! :-))

nice to see you Agnus

and I'm afraid old would apply also lol but hey, any day you wake up on the green side of the grass is a good day!

Journey 11:30

Late check in but I have been up and at 'em this morning.   I feel great today, which is a good thing because I was getting depressed about feeling so tired and getting ready to call the doctor for a thryroid check lol.   But I just have to remember I am not as young as I used to be and it takes a few days to get over working nights and weekends.

I went for a run this morning and ran into my 70ish neighbor who was out trimming hedges and mowing lawns at 8 am.   I said 'You're hard at work this morning, Ms. Ballard!' and she replied:  "I just have so much energy, I'm fairly buzzing with it!"

So that is my wish for you today, that you will be buzzing with energy.

I have not done my daily planning yet as I had to prepare for a meeting asap this morning.  The meeting is done now so I'll take a break and then plan the rest of the day.

Rosebud Wednesday September 18

I had almost forgotten how to use this site. Too busy to think about posting ...

Today I will try to:

  • Use the Chatbox again.
  • Wash laundry (many loads).
  • Tidy up work all over the place
  • Paper work, files, follow ups
  • Watch daily TV program
  • Trip out, groceries, enjoyment??
We'll see how it goes ...

Evening: Could have done better, especially with paperwork. Soon bedtime now.
