Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
Back yesterday from very interesting training course, but tired and finding it difficult to deal with being home again, even though I am giving myself a relatively easy day today.
Glad to have shown up - want to keep with my commitment to showing up every week day I am not in my client's office. Next week that will be Tues - Fri.
Today will post my list here.
Done: shower, phone calls x 2, email x 1, put washing on.
To do: finish grooming, hang out washing, bike ride, finish unpacking everything, ring JD re work, timesheet, update lists, nap after lunch, plan and prepare work for Monday, send letter to PV, clean out water jerry, wash dishes, cook dinner, watering - not needed, check dates for J.
If time: dental appt. M, tax appt, shopping, get DVD, read more emails.
Back in the office today. I am ready for this weekend's install, although I have one more item of paperwork that I had forgotten - it doesn't have to be submitted to anyone but it needs to be in place for audit purposes. I have a lot of work to do but nothing jumps out as being critical for today. I've been operating on adrenaline and pressure, so this is a dangerous transition time for me.
I had a 9 am meeting, which is over, so now is time to make todo list, triage and prioritize, and start cranking out the work. I still have way more work to do than can possibly be done so I will consider what should be done before the weekend and what can wait, and get started. And of course I will build in reasonable guilt-free breaks and plan some downtime for this evening.
Have an enjoyable and productive day everyone!

Time never challenged the Indian or worked against him. Time was for silently marking the passing of the seasons. It was a thing to be enjoyed.
—Tim Giago
We have a choice as to how we view the passage of time. We can look at it as a gift to be enjoyed, marking the transitions and cycles of life. Or we can think of time as a long, thin string of pressures and frustrations - specific minutes and hours that we try to speed up or slow down. Our relationship to time is a very important part of our recovery.
We are learning to live in the present, one day at a time. We are letting go of the past. The future we place in trust to our Higher Power. Time doesn't work against us or challenge us - it just flows. This day need not be painless or close to paradise for us to live in the present moment. Being aware of our lives without struggling against time makes the day rich and full of meaning.
Today, rather than wrestling with time, I will be aware of my experiences and let time flow.
