Findingaway late check in

Friday 4.15pm

Thank you Rosebud for the vibrant flower picture.

The week is nearly over. I have made progress but not always on listed tasks.

Done today: work trip to EA (combined with driving lesson for my son), set up accounts for new financial year, discussion re softwear for new computer.

Still to do: banking, timesheet, USB, download photos, camera warranty, edit business listing, email C, hang out washing, dishes, cook dinner, piano. Didn't allow enough time.

The quicker I get these done, the sooner I can have some time for myself and with my husband and son (he is visiting us for 2 weeks).

Life Is Opportunity

Each morning when we wake up, we thank our Higher Power for another day of
abstaining from compulsive procrastination. Each hour that is given to us is a chance to grow and learn
and serve. We can believe that Higher Power has a plan for every day that he
gives us and that HP will reveal the plan step by step as we listen for
HP's guidance.

If we are too intent on carrying out our personal ideas and projects, we may miss the
directions that come from our Higher Power. We need to remain open and flexible so
that HP may use us as HP chooses.

Considering the time and tasks that we have as opportunities to serve saves us from
self-centered worry and anxiety. We do not have to be compulsive about
our work and activities. Higher Power knows our capabilities and will not give us
more than we can handle. HP is always ready to direct our efforts when
we turn to HP.

Thank You for the opportunity to live and serve today.

Have a great day everyone living and serving. Best,

Journey 10:00

Good morning and thanks for the sunny flower Rosebud.

I'm back in the office today after a vacation day yesterday to keep the grandkids while my son and his wife attended a funeral out of town.   Whew I'm exhausted.   I'm glad I don't have to raise any more small children lol.

While I was out yesterday a conflict arose with the maintenance I had planned to do this weekend and it got rescheduled (along with a bunch of other stuff) for next weekend.   This is a good thing because I had way to much work to do this week to get everything ready for this weekend.   Of course, that means i have to work two weekends in a row but still I have plenty of time to get everything done now.  I was stressing over having to cram 6 days of work into 3 days, and now I don't have to do that.

I took a nice walk/jog this morning although I had to cut it a bit short to go and pick up daughter's car from the shop.   She'll be heading home today.   I sure was glad to have her help with the kids yesterday so it worked out great to have her home for a few.

I was in the office on time and was well prepared for my 9:30 meeting which just ended.   Now I will have a coffee break, write up and send out meeting minutes, and make todo list for the rest of the day.   I started working on it last night so I have a head start.   I take way too long planning in the mornings, partly out of avoidance, and partly because I'm just not with it in the mornings and everything takes longer, so I'm trying to at least start on my todo list the day before.

UPDATE 5:30 completed all MITs but didn't get any lower priority items done.   Had a couple of walkups and a last minute meeting though.

Scribbler's Thursday CI 8:06 a.m.

Thanks for the kick-off, Rosebud. That's a good-looking marigold. I had a pretty good day yesterday. A busy one planned today. I'd like to go for a run this morning. We'll see. My gymnastics to avoid overdrawing my checking account paid off yesterday. I have $4.14 in there as of this morning. Unfortunately, some hundreds of dollars of drafts will land tomorrow, if not sooner. And my calls and emails to the people who owe me many thousands are going unanswered. I will try to enlist help from an attorney and others today on that.  While many problems persist, I've made good progress on pcorastination, I think, and for that I'm very grateful to Procrastinators Anonymous and the nameless, faceless people who post and read here. Thanks. Onward...

Moving forward

Made some progress on meeting the goals of my new, anti-procrastination/pro-balanced lifestyle paradigm.

7/6-7/7: Objectives: Met?

No unnecessary internet at work: Yes

Time tracking: Yes

Email 4x work/2x personal (@ work): Yes/Yes

Work 12 hours max: Yes!

Daily personal time: Minimal; phone call, internet

Sleep 8 hours min: No (6.5 hours)

Early to rise: Better (6:30 AM)

Early to work: Better than recently (8:20 AM)

Early putting plan into action: Yes! (9 AM)

Okay. Got here at 8:20 AM, so that means I need to finish work by 8:20 PM. I obviously don't *have to* stay until 8:20 PM, but in general I find that my work will occupy whatever time I allow, with plenty left over. Need to work hard to set and keep boundaries.

Back to report.
