These Swallow babies' nest had fallen down from up under the roof in a building on the farm where I grew up. My brother rescued them and put them into a makeshift "nest" of his own, and placed them up there again. They thrived!!

Findingaway check in

Friday nearly 12 noon

Thanks for the swallows and story, Rosebud.

Not off to a good start. Dealing with some things but kind of stuck.

Done: up and dressed, looked at emails, dealt with some, sorted out new phone plan, did banking, rang a friend.

Still to do (home and personal): bike ride, lunch with friend, ring N for appt, ring T, ring M, sort washing, dishes, bread dough, dinner tonight.

Work: accounts, charge camera, USB transfer, write up notes, ring J, ring CO?, read article?, declutter? unpack parcel?

It is a question mark kind of day, I'm afraid, but noting those are lower priority.

Thanks to everyone for being here. Smile

Cute Birdies, Rosebud!

But yesterday's kitties really took the cake! :)

Which one did you keep? (She asks, while her fluffy cat settles in next to her, lol!)

Thanks for the starters over the last couple of days!

Journey 10 am birdies!

Happy Thursday!  Back in the office today, and feeling rather sluggish.   I've been to the gym and attended a 9 am meeting - just barely got here in time for it.   I stayed up too late last night and didn't want to get up this morning.   But anyway, I am here.   I will work on my to list for today until 10:30, then I'll have a coffee break.

1:30 Skipped the coffee break because I got a lunch invite from the bestie.  Back from lunch now, and I have spent the morning fixing something broken by a coworker who is on vacation (MIT #1)

Now, work on MIT 2 of 5.   This should take about an hour.

Update 2 pm - had to get more infor on #2 before I can finish.  Taking short break then on to #3 while I wait for the answer.

Update 4:30 working on #3 and I found a mistake that I made several weeks ago that prevents me from proceeding the way I had planned.   I've asked my brilliant coworker for advice.   I may have to do two installs, one to fix the mistake and one to do the real install.   Oh well, it's not horrible, just inconvenient.  In the meantime, I'll finish the paperwork for this project and go on to #4.   Still no answer on #2.

Update 4:47 answer for #2 just came in.   I'll finish the paperwork for #4, then go back and finish #2.   I wanted to spend about an hour on #5 but it may just get a lick and a promise.

Update 5 pm #3 finished for the day.   And although I am upset that I made a mistake, I am happy that the 'new' me admitted the mistake and asked for help immediately rather than stewing and worrying over it for days and trying to think of a way to avoid admitting the mistake.    The only thing to do is move forward, fix it, and learn from it.   Back to work on #2 and see if I can finish it up today.

Update 5:20 going to work on #5 for a few minutes and see if I can get the allocations done at least, then head home.

This has been a frustrating day and I broke my favorite headphones which means I need to stop and get a new set on the way home.   But I have worked hard in spite of wasting an hour or so in general dread/avoidance of doing  paperwork. <grin>
