Needed: buddy for showing up to work & life

With this site, thankfully, I have seen progress. But/And the day will always come when I will not want to leave the house for any reason, other than it burning down, heaven forbid.

That is why I need someone to check in with and visa versa every day, every week day, etc. who suffers as I do or similar so we can buddy up and help each other.

My friend and I are doing this now, but she will return home to another country soon (I'm in U.S.) and I will miss her, but that's a fact.

Need to exercise this muscle every week day morning no matter what, so when the day comes when I don't want to leave to go to work, this buddy system is already in place.

Please email if you think this could help you too.

Leavin' the house buddy...

Hi Hope,

I'd be glad to do this with you! :)

I have a handful of phone numbers that I call when I am trying to get out of the house (from people I've met at the phone, face-to-face, and online meetings) already.

For me, this is more of a free-form thing -- I call them when I clearly have need -- but, I'd be more than happy to do a more concrete thing (as in your daily buddy deal) with you! :)

Anyway, my point is: I already use this kind of support, and it makes ALL the difference some days! Literally - I couldn't get out of the house without it! :P

Will e-mail you, and we can go from there!

Yours in fellowship - MC

(Hope)

Hope, I found the site to be my most reliable check in buddy on a day to day basis. When I hit rough waters, most often than not, someone from the site will reach out. Or I use other tools, chat room, phone, etc. One thing that was drilled into me in one of my other 12 step groups was "I am responsible for my recovery" that really helped change my program to a better road of success, because in the end it is always my HP and me that are left, and so it is.

Thanks ((vic)) ((mamacat)) for your support!!!
