Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
Halfway through the day and didn't check in yesterday but have done some important NETWORKING (and a little business promotion) and some of it was even fun and informative.
So it feels like an achievement , as I was pretty scared about this stuff - attended one event last night and another this morning. Maybe I'll get some work out of it, maybe not, but at least people know I'm there and I'm keeping in touch with local stuff in my type of work (natural resource management/biodiversity).
Going to have some lunch, maybe even allow myself a short nap (last night went late) and do some tidying and small outstanding jobs before it's officially the weekend.
Katia- have a great time out, you've certainly earned it!
Today is going to be a fun day after the stress of the paper and the application. I have plans to go out to dinner with come mom friends too.
Things to do today -Vitamins & #1 #2 #3 #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 #8 #9 -Go to Target -Go to store -Bio course reception 4-6
-Dinner plans
-Clean parts
-Make study plan
Well, dicovered yesterday my son printed out the "wrong exam" we got 2 pages done and when I lost the rest of the pages and went to print it out, I found out he printed out the wrong thing!!!
The wierd thing is the "chatter in my head" is screaming "SEE, PROCRATINATIONS IS GOOD!" this is very "abnormal thinking to say the least" can only post something like that here.
Yesterday was a bit of a disaster. But today can be better!
I need to:
*Call microscope company
*Make sure I have the secondaries I need for westerns, plan out
*Do PAS staining
*Prep mini-class, do assignment and reading
*Deal w/ pre-reg issue (started)
*Go to teaching class
*Collect samples, c.f., genotyping
Back in the office today. Had an excellent workout at the gym and still got to work on time-ish. One meeting today and it's already over. Making todo list for the rest of the day. Have a productive and enjoyable day everyone!
Update 11 am - todo list done. I have 8 MITs and a bunch of lower priority things. I will being work on the MITs now - right after a bio break.
Update 12:30 MITs #1-3 completed. Short lunch break, then I'll tackle the worst one - work for a couple of hours on the horrid documentation project.
Update 3:30 Worked 3 hours on the horrid documentation, but I finished a whole section. There may be another section, not sure yet, but I've done all I can do until I get an answer about that so yay! 4 of 8 MITs completed. Two are quick so I'll do them now.
Update 5:00 MITs 6 of 8 completed, but I'm going back to #4 and redo some stuff after my tech lead reviewed my document. Might as well get this finished up and put it behind me. If we have to do the last section, it should be quick and easy and I'll look at it tomorrow. But MITs 7-8 will have to be postponed til tomorrow. I worked in a couple of the quick lower priority things but that was all.
But, that's the whole point of setting MITs eh? So they get done first.
5:38 done outta here!

Many thanks to all for reading and posting. I don't understand exactly why this works so well for me when nothing else has, but it does. And without you, I'm pretty sure I'd be wasting hours, days, weeks and months as I've done for most of my life. I hope this keeps up.I'm going to try to keep doing my part and I hope all of you will likewise. Thanks again.
Not a bad day yesterday, although as is usual lately I pretty much collapsed after about 7 p.m. I'm a little concerned I haven't rehearsed enough for this weekend's shows. I want to do well because the pay is good and the venue owners have several live music venues where I could perform. I'll try to get in some rehearsal today during breaks. Onward...
Feeling low, overwhelmed & in self pity. Didn't want to check-in yesterday because I called in sick to work Tuesday, after already having Monday off (princess).
Very frustrated with vet experiences. GoldieSmurf was at my vet & paid a pricey price, but he helped 0%. Just placed a call to him, pls HP, if it is your will, can I have answers that will help GoldieSmurf. Need also to look on net on how to possibly treat this problem, but he also has aids, so it could be related. Want to do something by this weekend, it's way too much time, he's been sick.
Haven't worked out in a while and fear I'll never get back into a routine,
Gratefully at work yesterday I was more productive than usual.
To do:
-resumes
-get "b" card for C
-calling my vet for help with GoldieSmurf
-research getting GodlieSmurf on net

I don't even know where to start this morning! Too much to do, too little time. And the e-mail network at work is down(stops me getting distracted but it's our main method of communication). I've caught myself using my diversionary tactics to avoid getting started - bad idea as I've only got an hour left for non-meeting stuff.
ring PB (tough but essential) - waiting for call back

Welcome, i THINK THE HARDEST PART IS STARTING, you are not alone anymore .Keep coming back.
you can do it Kaviprakash!
Commit to working on it for just 5 minutes at a time. Then take a break. When you feel stronger, work on it for longer.
