Hi....
I am cricket.
I procrastinate ...all the time. I seem to do my best *work* at the last minute, that is why I am always on the spot for assignments at work or school. My house is another matter. I have a room i cannot use due to clutter. I would be able to live better if i could declutter and stop procrastinating about bill paying, cleaning, etc. I cannot stop. I do not know what to do. I am frozen in time.

Welcome Cricket
You are totally in the right place.
We have all been there. I, personally, can especially relate to your room situation!
Keep coming back!
Yours in fellowship -

welcome cricket!
Glad to have you! Together we can be there for each other when times are bad and rejoice when we or others have successes in being productive.
Luv your name; is cricket for the game, the insect or neither? (If this is inappropiate then just ignore this!)
Welcome, Cricket
Welcome to Procrastinators Anonymous. There is plenty of support in this website. I not only go to the PA online meeting on weekends, but I go on the check-in on the chatbox. go to the forum and go on the list, and I go to the PA telephone meeting three times a week.
There are also tools I also work on and I see the signs where I can relate to everyone.
Most of all, Keep Coming Back!
Welcome Cricket!!!
Glad you are here, can certainly relate. . .I am pretty organized now, but only because I moved into a new apartment and had to start from scratch.
I can totally understand how overwhelming and "freezing" it feels. My parents would say I was lazy when I didn't clean my room but I was just too overwhelmed.
Good luck, make some check-ins, visit the online meetings, etc! Lots of different ways to work towards better habits.
:)
Welcome Cricket!
welcome to a fantastic group who've been there, done that, and got the T-shirt several times over.
You've made a start by getting yourself onto this site. Have a look at the resources, ask any questions you want, and maybe we can help you on your new journey to a happier life.
Um what?
Please excuse my ignorance: "...and got the T-shirt several times over."
What the?
Hi Sal
Hi Sal - it's a phrase used quite a lot in the UK (don't know if anyone else uses it).. When person A reports an experience and person B wants to say that they have had a similar experience, the phrase is "been there, done that, got the T-shirt" sometimes abbreviated to BTDTGTTS. It refers to the idea of going on holiday and visiting some sort of popular site and buying a souvenir T-shirt, often of the sort that says on the front "I've been to the Bahamas"or whatever.
Hope that makes sense
H.
BTDTGTTS
Haha, I use that expression all the time ever since I heard Drew Barrymore say it - I think she was referring to drugs and alcohol but whatever, it's a cute saying.
