stressed. but i know from working the program that i dont need to be. alls i need to do is
- figure out what i have to do
- make a plan
- and keep taking steps.
seems so simple. ;)
anyway, i guess i have to just do those. to my list making.
oh, and i should pray, and maybe read my bible.
UPDATE-- 8:34 pm: i did my steps for 30 min, then had pre-scheduled, fixed schedule things to do.
now i'm overwhelmed and anxious. i feel so behind. emotional.
UPDATE-- 8:35pm: as much as i HATE HATE HATE HATE to take anything off my list, i have to face reality. reality is that if i am overwhelmed i will get less done. period. that's just a fact. it's the Math of procrastination. It is my life. So, if i take something off my list and that makes me feel less overwhelmed, i will get MORE done. seems so simple yet feels so bad.
well, i dont have to take it all the way off, i can prioritize it and leave it at the bottom. then i have at least a little hope, but between you and me we both know what it means to be on teh bottom. wink wink nudge nudge.
EG exercise 1/2 hr every other day, instead of 1hr almost every day. that is a reasonable compromise i can live with under the circumstances.

Was really late at work last night so I got in late today and am a bit of schedule.
But, so far I've gotten paper corrections to MK and checked on expts.
I have a couple meetings and I need to ask TE about rotation project & send emails to Dp and K, and I need to prep for and go to tutoring session, and I need to work on SOP for retinoid expts.

Journey 10 am
Happy Monday! Weekend recap - I did not check in at all but it was a busy and fun weekend. My daughter came home for a visit on Sunday and my son and his kids came over for lunch, then we spent the entire afternoon at the park. Saturday was spent cleaning and shopping for Sunday. It was a beautiful sunny warm weekend in the SE and we had a great time!
Now it's back to work day. I was 30 minutes late to work ::sad::. I gave myself a pass last week on getting to work early since it was a 60+ hour week! But this week things are back to normal and I need to get my butt up and get to the gym earlier and get to work on time.
Right now I will finish my todo list and get to work. I have one big project and one high-priority, urgent, totally useless administative activity. But what the heck, if they want to pay me to do useless stuff, I'll do it eh?
Laters - I'm praying for you all to have a productive and enjoyable week.

I'm uneasy about getting into today/tomorrow conversations with Aussies. I have been embarrassed in the past calling Oz for scheduled interviews thinking it was today when it was apparently, on that side of the date line, yesterday or perhaps the day after tomorrow or a week from Tuesday. So if you say today is tomorrow, I'll just take your word for it. In any event, thanks much for the starter. I'm very glad you are here.
I had a reasonably good week last week. I finished up my big project after close of business Central US time Friday but I think that'll be okay with my editor. If he complains I'll tell him that according to Hawaii time I was early. If he still moans, I'll refer him to Scarlett O'Hara.
This week in addition to trying to pack as much as but no more than I can realistically do into my schedule, I'm going to give careful thought to choosing activities most likely to achieve my most important and urgent aims. Here goes...

At least I'll be able to enjoy my fun knowing I have earned it, sort of, at least for today.)

One Day at a Time, one minute at a time.
pm ck in- happy I started the day with this mindset, now I need to remember HALT. am soooooooooo exausted, but went to bed at 2am and got up at 6am (my head says what does that have to do with anything?) while the rest of me aches , drove around all day yesterday and today for older and younger son, younger one is grateful, older one is obnoxious, and just sittling at the tv, so I am turning in, self care does not include judging others, tonight- #1 is focus on self care and remember to be greatful for all that my hp has given me to do and by his grace was able todo it. Thank you PA (ers) for being here.
fudoshin: day 77 : 3:50am
Please do not leave advice. Thank you. Prayers welcome.
This is the 77th day that I have followed through with the following:
the past. (I am now back on day 40 for this).
includes not stalking people on AIM or other chat networks, whom I've
tried to date in the past. (I'm on day 5
of this.)
Prayers...

Ok, it's been a bit more that 6 months since masters started and my procrastination seems to get worse every term...I have an essay due tuesday and what have I done? nothing. Even if the essay is kinda complicated since i need to find some primary sources for it, even being aware of all the work that essay implies, i still couldn't do anything during the weekend. Now I have to finish everything in one day, or one day and a half, at the most, and don't even have an outline nor my sources...I just hope I dont get kicked out of masters. I definitely will get this done somehow, I guess..but will I pass? God knows. Anyway....goal of the day?
1. Write a 10-12 page essay for EOS course, somehow, with help of PA chat.
you can do it!!!!!! i work
you can do it!!!!!! i work (procrastinate? ;p )with masters students everyday if you need any advice... Just remember, your faculty want you to succeed just like we do _______________________________
