Well I have to keep it short and sweet cause it's so late. I managed to do everything on my list today except getting laundry folded and put away.. I ran out of time because i had an unplanned trip to drop of dd3 at a friends house while I went to the Chiro. Getting some relief finally. It's really nice to be going somewhere that insurance covers. As a result of feeling physically better I am feeling better mentally as well. I am doing well getting my routines down on paper and fine tuning as I go. I'm taking it easy on myself as I adjust to focusing only one or two protions of the housework.. I am finding myself more realxed with the kids too. I spent an entire hour this morning with DD3 coloring and playing outside etc. and wasn't too distraught (sp?) when she woke up from her nap after only an hour.. I guess that will be about it for now. See ya tomorrow

Wake up: 7:25am (target: 7am).

Shower and dress (didn't shower last night).
Empty dish drain and wash any dishes from previous day.
Make and eat breakfast.
Wash breakfast dishes.
Strip bed.
Put in contacts.
Take out pills for the day.
Swallow morning pills.
Reflection.
Take everything off coffee table, dust coffee table with wood polish, and move it to the kitchen area (out of the way).
Vacuum floor and rug (since mattresses are about to be on rug).
Vacuum futon cover. (The belt doesn't stay on my hand vacuum anymore so it was marginally effective, but I did the best I could.)
Take futon cover off old mattress.
Tie up old matress so it's folded in half length-wise, and put in hallway for now. (I'll bring it down to the basement after the new mattress is delivered.)
Vacuumed futon cover again, this time with belt on, and both inside and out. Much cleaner now. I don't want to wash it for fear it will shrink.
Put away vacuums.
Make day plan (can't work on back accounting now because of the impending mattress delivery - can't have things all over the place).
Make and eat lunch.
Wash lunch dishes.
Work on my business.
Clear spam folder.
Take midday pills.
Put apartment back together (after mattress is delivered.
I closed up the futon again. If I fold the mattress down and then grab on to the frame, and I can do it without too much trouble. It's inches thicker than what I had before.
I'm going to get my mail, then pretty much call it a day - maybe read the magazines in my pile so I can toss them. I really don't feel well. My throat is sore, and I feel like I have a fever.

I've been troubled by the delivery charge I was quoted yesterday for my futon mattress. I called the store a few minutes ago, and discovered I'm being overcharged. It's supposed to be $5/flight, and my apartment is 4 flights, and there is no assembly (of a mattress). I was quoted $45 to deliver rather than $20. The man I spoke to said that since I'd said yes to the inflated quote, I have to pay it. Huh?! I objected to that, and he said he had to call me back because he was with a customer.
He wouldn't relent, so I paid it. I let the guy unwrap it and put it in the futon case (as long as I was paying for this), and he helped me take the old mattress to the basement without charging me more. So I guess in the end it was worth the extra money.
I think I'm getting a cold. My nose runs constantly from allergies lately, but today I have that bad feeling in the back of my throat that says something more unpleasant is on the horizon. I'm having some hot tea.
So much for my plans... I've been doing some work related to my business. That's fine to do - best, perhaps. Maybe I'll get to the other stuff (or maybe not). I should go through my spam folder to make sure I didn't miss anything important.

I haven't done anything since my last check-in except to block and ban a flamer. I feel sort of frustrated having to sit in my office chair. I wish I could sit on the couch, but the couch cushion is presently out in the hallway. I hope the new mattress arrives earlier rather than later. The delivery time is supposed to be between 2-5pm.

HR - Not sure how you're doing your colors (did you say you're somehow having Word do it for you?), but you have unclosed font tags. I'll go in and fix.
FlyLady has an expression that I find very helpful to repeat to myself - even though I don't have a family, and often what I'm struggling with isn't housework: "Housework done imperfectly still blesses your family." Something is always better than nothing. In fact, something is hugely better than nothing. The different between something and nothing is everything - doing or not doing - whereas the difference of doing some and doing more is relatively minor.
If you're doing something, you are doing a great thing.
I've stripped the bed, and now I'm boggled as to where to put all the stuff I need to move out of the way in order to remove the futon cover and perform the other mattress manipulations. This is a very small apartment. Where to put the coffee table? The laundry basket? :?
Maybe I'll contemplate this puzzle while putting in my contacts.
Can you stand it on its legs vertically. Maybe you can sit the laundry basket in your tub/shower until the bed stuf is done. Hope you are feeling better.
I just got an email from an old work associate asking me to write some tutorial material for their software product. That's right up my alley - work I like for people I like. Sounds good so far. :)

I'm not going to willingly overpay.
I paid it
He wouldn't relent, so I paid it. I let the guy unwrap it and put it in the futon case (as long as I was paying for this), and he helped me take the old mattress to the basement without charging me more. So I guess in the end it was worth the extra money.
I'm definitely getting sick - I don't feel well.
also...
I think I'm getting a cold. My nose runs constantly from allergies lately, but today I have that bad feeling in the back of my throat that says something more unpleasant is on the horizon. I'm having some hot tea.
pro's CI - 2:30pm
So much for my plans... I've been doing some work related to my business. That's fine to do - best, perhaps. Maybe I'll get to the other stuff (or maybe not). I should go through my spam folder to make sure I didn't miss anything important.

I haven't done anything since my last check-in except to block and ban a flamer. I feel sort of frustrated having to sit in my office chair. I wish I could sit on the couch, but the couch cushion is presently out in the hallway. I hope the new mattress arrives earlier rather than later. The delivery time is supposed to be between 2-5pm.
All the dust from vacuuming is kicking up my asthma.
Let's see, what else can I complain about...? (Bad habit.) :P

belt on hand vacuum
I wonder if the reason the belt doesn't stay on the hand vacuum anymore is because it's lost elasticity over the years. The purple rubberbands that wrap broccoli are exactly the same size and shape. I wonder if they would work.
Day Plan: Learn more Mac stuff (read more of my books), and start to move more of my work over to the Mac.
aha!
The belt was coming off because I was putting it on backwards. It miraculously works now. I'll vacuum the futon cover again.

missing stuff
Can't find my twine. I could have sworn I brought that with me when I moved. Several small items when missing when I moved - it's slightly maddening.
I'll keep looking...
found it

tag tip
HR - I fixed up your tags. One of the red ones wasn't closed.
When I was doing this, I noticed that you had the color in the closing tag. You don't need that. All you need is </font>.
unclosed tag alert
HR - Not sure how you're doing your colors (did you say you're somehow having Word do it for you?), but you have unclosed font tags. I'll go in and fix.
HR - you're doing great!
Awesome ta-da list, HR! You're inspiring! :)
>I struggle with " not perfect just complete"

Coffee table
Can you stand it on its legs vertically. Maybe you can sit the laundry basket in your tub/shower until the bed stuf is done. Hope you are feeling better.
furniture shuffling
I moved the coffee table into the kitchen area. That works.
I think the laundry basket is okay where it is, but the tub isn't a bad idea - I'll keep that in mind, just in case. :)
pro's CI - 10am
I think my migraine is reduced enough that I'll be able to tolerate the noise of the vacuum cleaner (electric broom, actually).
I'm wondering what I'm going to do with the coffee table while all this mattress business is going on. :?

work?
I just got an email from an old work associate asking me to write some tutorial material for their software product. That's right up my alley - work I like for people I like. Sounds good so far. :)
Congrats
I'm sure that is welcome work.
tentative
Yes, it would be if it happens. It was just an inquiry. I'm taking a "wait and see" attitude.

I've been trying to ignore the headache I woke up with, but at this point, 1.5 hours later, it's clear I need to take pills. It's gotten worse rather than better.
My morning routine is modified this morning because I'm having a new mattress delivered.

That reminds me...
To-Do:
Take something to stop headache from getting worse (lesson learned from yestereday)
dangers of delay
If I wait too long before taking migraine meds, the migraine settles in and becomes impossible to get rid of. It doesn't go away until I've slept.
