Thanks for starting the thread, lennon.

I am getting some smaller tasks done, but not the current report. Want to do 4 hours on this today, which is possible. Also make at least one work phone call (two would be better).

Before I go to lunch I will get the report out ready to work on, and see if I can break down what is left to do. After lunch will do 15 to 30 minute bursts and use the chat box if I get stuck.

Showed up at work, amazingly enough, very depressed. I am no longer self-generating at work, it's either I call in sick a day or two and then I come in & keep myself busy no matter what or I show up and do my own stuff as much as possible. I can't believe how this procrastination has taken the best of me. Powerless and fighting it.

We are each limited in terms of time and energy. If we try to do too much,
we do everything half-rate. How much better it is to clearly sort out
what is really important to us, and then give ourselves to those things
or people wholeheartedly.

Famous writers have written about the difficulty of having more than one or
two really good friends. That number seems so unimpressive if we equate
popularity with the number of friends we have. If we want quality, we
must accept our limitations. In this way we avoid wasting energy on
unimportant tasks, on friends who aren't true or close, on goals which
aren't what we really want. We can only commit ourselves wholeheartedly
to a limited number of tasks and a limited number of people.

Meditation for the Day

I will be more afraid of spirit unrest, of soul disturbance, of any
ruffling of the mind, than of earthquake or fire. When I feel the calm
of my spirit has been broken by emotional upset, then I must steal away
alone with God, until my heart sings and all is strong and calm again.
Uncalm times are the only times when evil can find an entrance. I will
be ware of unguarded spots of unrest. I will try to keep calm, no matter
what turmoil surrounds me.


Prayer for the Day

I pray that no emotional upsets will hinder God's power in my life. I pray that I may keep a calm spirit and a steady heart.

Didn't exercise yesterday and it was not a good idea. I was working on stressful things (overdue billing and paperwork) and since it wanted to get it "done" -- I didn't exercise but then that affected my mood. I was okay but there are alot of underlying emotions that I'm not even aware of that get raised when I work on these things. I am happy I get started and make good progess but since a lot of it is overdue...there are other feelings that need stress release. My exercise helps me in so many ways and there's a reason it's a basic fo rme.

AFFIRMATIONS:

I choose to start on one small step, do it humanly, with plenty of time for an hour of guilt-free exercise.

Ask myself: where, when and on what I can start?

Having a brain blank lol. Will come back when I remember what needs to be done.

So yeah that's last week's math homework. I didn't want to stress out about it as it counts for like. . .1% of the grade. My main focus is getting it done without being upset.

Spent the whole morning crying over my son's father. It seems so messed up that I miss him even if he did some unspeakable things to me and forced me to do things. Idk why it still hurts inside.
