Show up (done) Wow, I thought today was 12/7, so this is great.
Emotional "teen" turmoil going on. Sometimes I wonder if shutting down for awhile would not be a bad idea. I don't seem to be getting much done. I need to remember when I think I can escape from "life on life's terms" I am only kidding myself. That is how I got into all the 12 step rooms to start with. So I did basics, and will connect somehow for baby steps.. Thanks for being here.
Back to using the previous day's check in since Tuesday hasn't started yet for many.
Today will use the chat box as I want to get report on B DONE!
Pushing other tasks out of the way, but will do invoice and bank around 3 pm and library around 5 pm.
Got very overwhelmed last night, bit of emotional melt-down but have had some family support and resolution. Today feels better, just need to get on with my work!
I'm trying! Eee. Up all night again, still depressed but doing a little better.

KK all, couldn't live without you guys. Tried working without a plan, at home , Thanksgiving week. Good for insights and rest, not good for accomplishment. Then last week, on the ball at office 2 days, then Wednesday made a medical rip to Mexico, plus delightful impromptu vacation. Money I can't "afford", but God's hand was on every step. I am thankful, though also nervous, returning to the scene of career challenges.
Let's roll!
11:13am - Greeted boss and receptionist. I'm positive, I'm up and funny, and I'm proud of that. Everybody is down right now and they don't need my beating-myself-up anger. Turned on PC. Logged into PA.
12:32am - Picked up Sara, dropped off Sara with my best wishes for my former boss and coworkers, picked up cleaning, got cash at ATM, returned to office, said hello to boss, et al. Ha - I was upbeat again. These are good people I work with, everyone is hurting right now. I am proud to be here, while I am here. Let's see what's next. Coffee, then get phone turned back on.
Did well getting up early this morning and taking care of some things. OUr normal monday meeting of course pointed out that I seem to be the sticking point for a number of projects. I got a one day extension on meeting with the boss on one major project, so I know that I'll really have to get down to brass tacks today to make progress. Will have to remind myself along the way that it just has to be done, not done perfectly...
Tasks for today
-clean up notes
-put tasks in new program
-try to distribute new tasks to others
-work on licenses for two clients
That's enough for now.
"Motivation and inspiration follow action. If you're not inspired yet, you just haven't taken enough action."
I didn't work on money-earning stuff over the weekend any, so I'm a trifle behind today. But I think I can catch up without too much difficulty. Here's the plan:
Happy Monday! Back in the office today. Still feeling a little bad after the gum surgery, but better than yesterday. I'm gonna make this a short day, skip toastmasters, and leave early.
I'm feeling uncharacteristically depressed. I feel behind at work and at home and don't see any way of catching up or getting ahead . . . I'm just always in catchup mode. I don't like feeling like this, so something needs to change . .. Can you say 'New Year's Resolutions'? haha. I am keeping up with stuff for the most part, and it's loads better than 3 years ago when I was drowning, so I am mucho grateful for that. I'm just gonna hang on for a few days here, as I am sure that things will look better when I'm feeling better physically.

UPDATE 4:44 I actually had a very productive day although I was grouchy and didn't feel my best. leaving early . . .! see you tomorrow
Never have an ordinary day! - Pepperidge Farm (lol)
Basics: reading; affirmation; prayer; checking in; gratitudes; check calendar; plan to plan
Exercise.
Have an early meeting today. One goal I have is to get out of house earlier. May entail going to gym first and showering/dressing there. I did that for years before kids and it helped me not succumb to the "just one more thing" around the house before I leave for work. Wanted to do it today but I've just spent the 45 min goofing around on internet rather than going to gym. So I need to be ready to get in gym clothes and leave. I will shoot for tomorrow.
Checking in at 1:10 pm. Great result this morning. Took 1 hour for lunch. Now time to go back to work.
Thanks for starting the thread findingaway and for the positive picture and words. I feel positive reading it.
Done:

Phone landlords
Tidy what I can before they come
Study French
Done:
Above and a load of admin
Also moved a load of stuff out of the kitchen to avoid it being damaged in a flood - plumbers etc come first thing tomorrow
Prayer and reflection
Back after the weekend. Tempting as it is to read all the posts on this forum from over the weekend, when I wasn't online, I am not going to do it now. I am going to hang the washing out on the line, plan, make a list and post it here when it's done.
10.30 am. Have made my long term list - this has always been paper in the past - trying out working with an electronic list.
Also today for first time have done a time budget for today's tasks which is a bit scary, but starting to want to know where my time goes and what is realistic. Feels like a big step for me, especially as I haven't been berating myself so much for spending time getting my lists etc. organised (i.e. being down on myself because I should have done it already).
Will do:
small jobs priorities 1 to 6 - 2.45 pm this has really blown out timewise - plus an extra job came up that I had overlooked. Need to start B report.
2 x 30 min blocks on B report - not done
priorities 7& 8 - reschedule to tomorrow
3 - 4 more blocks on B - only did 3 of these all up
Evening: cook dinner, time with all of family, piano, exercises, bed before 10 pm.
5.30 pm Not my worst day, but not the best either.

*Deal w/ email
(have made some progress on this)
*

Sammy :: ci 12/6/10
Goal: Don't fail college.
Feeling overwhelmed and paralyzed. Have spent nearly a week without any forward progress. Anxiety and distress have stopped me in my tracks.
Need help. Asking God for help.
Awaiting end of semester, when I will be surrounded by friends and family who matter most.
Need to move forward. Go.
Sammy :: 8:45am
Wanting to move forward with new project, being held back by lack of required materials... Will go to store when it opens at 9 or 9:30.
