Wow... one of those days when things are just smoothly moving along and I've got a nice little trip to visit friends planned for the weekend. I'm so... ummm what's the word for this scary feeling? Oh yeah... happy. I almost forgot ;)
Things I chose to do so far today:
- Get up and to work on time
- Email catch-up
- Time estimates
- Setup hardware for colleague
- Complete updates to document (#1 priority!)
- Check in Project Y
- Print directions for my weekend trip
- Delegate additional project analysis (scary one!)
- Report changes - basically done - just need to document :)
- Get software update installed
Things I would like to do:
- Update project plan - started it
Well I've pretty much done nothing today. Putzed with a couple little things on my misc list, but spent most of my time agonizing over what to do. I've just been in a pissy mood all day. D keeps saying "you're still here?" when I stop by his office to say "hi." I realize I'm really not feeling well(physically) and I'm probably not going to do anything else today, so I guess I'm not going to be here at work anymore. No emergencies, I'm going home.
I can't say I've done much since my last check-in besides eat lunch. I'm meeting friends for dinner and a movie in just two hours (dinner after the movie so I'll have time to get hungry again), so I don't have time to do my laundry. I could do my filing, but I don't feel like doing that. In fact, I don't feel like doing much of anything. :O
Spam folder is cleared. Now I'm going to see if I can find something to change into that's suitable for dinner and a movie (versus doing laundry), and then I'm going to watch the last episode of House, which I recorded but have not yet watched. I don't feel like doing anything else today... except for my bedtime routine and getting to sleep early so I can do more tomorrow.
wow that's pathetic. No check in till 2 p.m. It's been a whirlwind morning, but good. Dropped DD3 at school early, got DD0 set up at the sitter, then Went to the new chiropractor. When he introduced himself, I was speechless b/c I thought HE was supposed to be SHE :O. From my converstaion w/ the secretary, I was totally expecting a woman... Not that it mattered any other than I looked like a complete fool when I couldn't speak- my brain was too busy trying to figure out why he wasn't a she. LOL :D ... So anyhow, the visit went well, and I did get a little adjustment. DIdn't wanna do too much cause I'm still really sore.
Then it was off to P/U DD0 and DD3,
Then a last minute trip (had written it off cause my mom hadn't called w/ the needed address) to the pack and ship place to mail my dad's B-day gift
THen finally home.
Luncheoned the kids and myself
Got dd3 down for nap
Proceeded to almost flood the kitchen while filling DD0's baby tub
got that under control, then gave her a bath.
Cleaned up from the almost flood
Put dd0 to bed for nap
Took a big deep breath and am now relaxing while I CUOP. :)
To do:
Continue to chill for a 15 more minutes
Take some tyelenol
Straighten up around here a little but don't go crazy. (the place looks like a hurricane came thru since I've been out of commission for almost 2 weeks now.)
4:45 leave for consignment sale (last night I shopped, tonight I work)
I've finally gotten my apartment straightened out. The dishes are washed, and everything is unpacked. The gel-pack that leaked all over the inside of the insulated bag has been tossed and the bag washed (why do these things keep bursting?), my pills for the day have been sorted out (though not taken yet), the papers I need to file are in a pile (though not filed yet), the laundry is in a basket (though not sorted yet), and I'm waiting for lunch to be delivered (I ordered Chinese, and it's taking forever).
Still sloooooowly moving forward. I found some clean clothes so I can go do my laundry now (presumably).
I have a mess of papers to take care of from my trip. I get more mail back there than here, for some reason. Not sure why that is - I thought I changed the addresses. I tend to procrastinate on this - must not.
I'm hungry, and there's nothing to eat here.
I haven't set up my main computer yet, so I haven't checked email.
Still getting myself straightened out here. I unpacked, took a shower, and cut my hair (needed it badly). I still need to clean up the clippings from the bathroom floor, get dressed. Probably should take another shower so I'm not itchy all day. Need to do laundry baaaaadly.
I was ready for bed by 8:30 last night, but stayed up reading until 11:45 }:) And that's why I don't read ficition anymore! Oh well, slept well and got up reasonably on time this morning.
Low mental energy today(stayed up too late?) Just need to focus on staying afloat.

Not caught up on posts yet. I'm so behind after oversleeping, not unpacking, and not doing my bedtime routine last night I'm just focusing on moving - keeping moving. That's why I'm posting.
Well, I've got quite a lot to do... the challenge is to pick which things to go on the list and which to leave until next week. I did wrap up a couple things yesterday which is a nice feeling.

Just woke up. Slept 9.5 hours last night. Never did bedtime routine - slept on couch fully clothed. Never unpacked from my trip. Now I need to unpack, shower, blah, blah. Still feeling very bleery. Need coffee.
Getting there. Won't have time to do the 'nice to have done' stuff but that was expected ;)
Ta Da:

- made bed
- kids fed and dressed
- CUOP briefly (you all had great days guys, well done 8))
- folded some washing
- wrote packing list and to-do list for today
- took one bag from wardrobe
- morning routine (dress, breakfast, swish'n'swipe)
- washed work shirts
- got suitcases out
- packed most of kids clothes
- went to the park with the kids (and DDog who disgraced herself by eating some of our food when we weren't looking :o)& had a picnic
- got phoneline fixed (technician turned up 10 hours early!)
- DH hired someone to feed the dog so I don't have to worry about that
- packed my toiletries
- packed a box of kids toys & books
- packed kids toiletries & multi-vitamins
- packed curtains mum is going to sew for me
- packed photos of kids mum wants to scan
- packed kids backpacks
- cleaned kitchen
- tidied family room
- swept/vacuumed
To Do:
- tidy all bedrooms and prepare for Monday night's arrival home
- Change video camera tape & charge camera
- pack camera & video camera
- pack laptop and planner
- make kids dinner
- bath and dress kids for bed
- feed DDog
- make something to DH and I to eat on the way
- leave by 6pm If I get time: (I like coming home from a trip to a really clean home)
- wash floor
- change everyone's sheets
- Dust
- polish bathroom mirror and chrome
- empty all bins
Okay - that focussing on one small step at a time worked nicely..
Now if DS would just stop screaming over every little thing I might get all of this done!!!!

DON'T get all sidetracked, Milo! Do one thing at a time until each thing is complete. Don't toss in any extras just because you notice they need doing--not even if they only take 2 seconds. Do what's on your list, though do keep re-evaluating and reprioritizing your list every half hour or so. You'll make it! Really!!!! (or you'll revise }:) ) I know how it feels to get a family ready for a trip. Sometimes it felt IMPOSSIBLE (we had lots of tense disagreements while getting ready for trips). For some reason, I always started doing various things I had been putting off, as if I wanted them taken care of lest I never come back, instead of focusing on what needed doing JUST for the trip (and immediately upon returning). Hope you're not doing that! ;)
I'm here--though I really shouldn't be! ;) I'll read your posts and see where to respond. Sending you great vibes, in the meantime! Go, Milo, go! (with whatever is best for you--whatever you WANT to do) :)
Had a lovely time at the park. DS is still grumpy but he's in bed now so hopefully he wakes happier. Mind you, he's not asleep yet (in fact I can hear him coming out now) so I guess I shouldn't count my chickens, hey...

back, thinking
I'm meeting the ex from 30 years ago for coffee tomorrow afternoon. Very tentative about this - mainly doing it because I'm curious.
I had dinner with friends tonight. It's already past 10pm. I'm not tired at all. I probably should start my bedtime routine anyway.

I could do my filing, but I don't feel like doing that. In fact, I don't feel like doing much of anything. :O
and one thing I MUST do
I must take my pills. These aren't just vitamins - they include medication for a serious illness, and I can't blow this off. Force-swallowing now...
done
Pills swallowed. At least I did that.
one thing I can do
I can clear my spam folder - that's something.
okay, did that
Spam folder is cleared.
G.I.D. first CI 2:00 p.m.
wow that's pathetic.
4:45 leave for consignment sale (last night I shopped, tonight I work)
pro's CI - 2pm
I've finally gotten my apartment straightened out. The dishes are washed, and everything is unpacked. The gel-pack that leaked all over the inside of the insulated bag has been tossed and the bag washed (why do these things keep bursting?), my pills for the day have been sorted out (though not taken yet), the papers I need to file are in a pile (though not filed yet), the laundry is in a basket (though not sorted yet), and I'm waiting for lunch to be delivered (I ordered Chinese, and it's taking forever).
I'm hungry.
pro's CI - 1pm
Still sloooooowly moving forward. I found some clean clothes so I can go do my laundry now (presumably).
I have a mess of papers to take care of from my trip. I get more mail back there than here, for some reason. Not sure why that is - I thought I changed the addresses. I tend to procrastinate on this - must not.
I'm hungry, and there's nothing to eat here.
I haven't set up my main computer yet, so I haven't checked email.
pro's CI - 12:30pm
I'm showered, teeth brushed. But I'm having trouble getting dressed because I have virtually no clean clothes. I really need to do laundry. :(
pro's CI - 10:45am
Still getting myself straightened out here. I unpacked, took a shower, and cut my hair (needed it badly). I still need to clean up the clippings from the bathroom floor, get dressed. Probably should take another shower so I'm not itchy all day. Need to do laundry baaaaadly.
Hiding
Need to do laundry baaaaadly.
Do you have sheep hiding in your laundry basket or something :?
who knows what's in my laundry basket!
It's been so long since I've done laundry, anything could be in there. ;)

Well, I've got quite a lot to do... the challenge is to pick which things to go on the list and which to leave until next week. I did wrap up a couple things yesterday which is a nice feeling.

- Email catch-up
- Time estimates
Things I would like to do:
- Setup hardware for colleague
- Complete updates to document (#1 priority!)
- Check in Project Y
- Print directions for my weekend trip :)
- Update project plan
- Delegate additional project analysis (scary one!)
- Start report changes
- Get software update installed

Ditched:
- Hire Nemo tape and record it to DVD to take (they already have about 30 of them, they don't need another, no matter HOW much they love it)
Focus..and breathe!
Hope you're not doing that! ;)
Focus
Thanks, slider, I did just that and it worked well!!
I should use my timer, too, that might help even more!
Right on!
The timer--of course!!! I'm signing off now so you won't keep cuop and getting sidetracked, and so I won't stay up all night. :P
And on the road have fun!
Don't look back once you set off. Just relax and enjoy the outing.
Lonely...
It's so lonely when you guys aren't here! :(
Hi, Milo!
I'm here--though I really shouldn't be! ;) I'll read your posts and see where to respond. Sending you great vibes, in the meantime! Go, Milo, go! (with whatever is best for you--whatever you WANT to do) :)
Hi!
And thanks :)
Milo 12:30pm
Had a lovely time at the park. DS is still grumpy but he's in bed now so hopefully he wakes happier. Mind you, he's not asleep yet (in fact I can hear him coming out now) so I guess I shouldn't count my chickens, hey...
