End of work day check-in 6 pm.

Need to keep my report progressing - as much as possible. Stuck with it, definitely some progress, the end is in sight!

Also some banking and minor business accounting. Done

Will catch up with M re his resume again. Spoke with him, will do this evening if he's free.

I am grateful for a good day on Friday 5/11 - made some progress.

Pretty happy with today - some minor side tracking when doing internet research but no games, did not spend excess time on personal emails in work time.

getting some stuff done

Hi!

I took some stuff to the charity store today. I am trying to clean out a bit.

12:50. re-filled area of the closet I had cleaned out. ((sigh)). Folded & put away clean clothes. Took trash to dumpster. Made 1 bed. Cut tags off new outfit.

1:30 goal: take shower, then can make a support call. Shower done + hair wash & dry. Made 3 support calls, but no one home; left 2 answering machine msgs.

2:30. Made 2nd bed. Doing another load of laundry.

2:50 Diff support group person can meet for coffee. Going out.

1. Went to the 7 a.m. telephone DA meeting

2. Went to the 9:45 a.m. telephone CLA meeting

Things I will do today

1. Fix and eat breakfast

2. Prayer and meditation in the morning and evening

3. Wash clothes

4. Go grocery and clothes shopping

5. Put groceries and clothes away.

6. Go to the 2:30 p.m. PA meeting

7. Go to the 6:30 p.m. face to face DA meeting

8. Call my DA sponsor at 8:30 p.m.

9. Post and send out Al-Anon literature for today

10. Do Business homework

11. Warm up and eat dinner

12. Do hair

myy day 7

It's Sunday afternoon and I haven't done a single useful thing today. I'm reading a book and there's no nagging guilt that I should be doing something else. This week has been good. I've met and usually even exceeded my daily quota of billable hours. I did some quick math and cringed when I saw how much better my financial situation would be if my usual workweek was like this. Well, I can only move forward and no use lamenting the past.

I'll continue writing my "three things to do" -lists. It's simple, easy and works for me. My first guilt free Sunday since who knows when proves this. I'm so used to a continual background feeling of guilt about things I've not done that not having its weight on my mind feels very weird. Weird but amazing.

Done:
- took care of my home by tidying a little
- lighted a candle in the kitchen
- asked hubby to make popcorn and watched a movie

Hi Everyone:

1. My basics: check in / show up - Done

Changing my daily plan and focus on how I manage my energy on a daily basis. Now I am going to start my office work right away without any delays since I am a morning person. I get up early and I used to spend the first several hours of my day exercising, writing articles, working on recovery and other things that are important but can be done later in the day once I get the work that requires higher concentration and energy done first.

The other downside to doing the other things first is that I used to get caught up in them and instead of spending 30 min on a marketing article, I'd spend 2 hours. Then work got delayed and when I didn't start on the work projects, I'd feel worse about that. 

I will check in but save the reading, exercise, marketing, etc. till later.

2. Projects:  Each smiley face = 1/2 hour

Billing project - categorize & finalize ones I can do quickly  Smile

Memo to office mgr re: bills finalized & things to be done Smile got 13 done - yea. SmileSmileSmile [ got total 35 done on this one project - 2 hours incl 20 min check in]

 Clean up desk area and 2 briefcases - SmileSmileSmileSmile  All done - Yea! I say Yea even though I get chagrined at what I find in there and how some papers sat in there since June and didn't get filed. But no surprises (unopened bills or other nasty things) - just filing. I'm just happy I got it cleaned out. A weekly maintenance plan/time might work here to eliminate the build up.

If I have time later, would like to do 3 more billing projects:

All day soccer tounaments yesterday and today- yesterday  1st game 8 am and last game 8 pm. Not much else accomplished. Feeling panicked today becuase My boys do home cyber school and tommorrow geometry and biology test due. We did not start. I want to enjoy tournament- they are undefeated and my son is a great soccer player. Stayed home for today's 8am game but semi- finals and finals are all afternoon. Need to get moving and at least get started with stuff.

Thanks for being here. May we all find the wisdom , courage  and most of all the gracefor the willingness to "Keep On" today. It is not "automatic"
