TH 2010-09-30 12:30pm - JESTER - Telephone Time - STOP
aRRRGH. Not 1 phone call!!!!
But accomplished something else, took a while. Planned call took longer to prepare than expected. Will have to consider how to do this and WHEN to do this, in the future. No time wasted at least... Just maybe wrong time of day.
Going to lunch for now.

11:21 AM: Alright, my goal is to try to wrap up at least the federal part of my overdue taxes today. Need a little kick start. Have already been online over an hour, but have not done anything especially productive.
Goal 1: 11:30 AM to 12 Noon: 30 minutes of tax work without interruptions. Back to report.

Journey 9:30 & update
Good morning! I'm finally feeling a little better this morning, I have felt like I was underwater for a week now. Still have a headache, but it has lessened and I feel a bit more positive this morning. Today is a very busy day, THREE meetings about my primary project., and two of them will be important and difficult. I'm actually on one conference call right now, but it's a mult-tasker
.
First thing I need to do is figure out how to reserve a conference room in this new building, then make a todo list for the rest of the day.
UPDATE 5 pm aaaahhhh . . . meetings went well, I got a lot accomplished today and I am ecstatic to be feeling like myself again. I am hardly ever sick but it seems like since I had pneumonia back in June I've been more susceptible to catching every little bug that goes around. Or maybe it's all them little grandkids giving me germs lol, in which case it's totally worth it.
See you tomorrow!

kromer 9:20 CI
Feeling pretty cruddy this morning (a cold, I think) so I slept in a bit.
Now I need to have prayer time and to go to the library, then I'll head to lab and get to work.
I have mtgs 1-2 and 6:30-8:30 (and maybe bible study 8:30-10:30, if I feel up to it.
I need to check on expts and do p/c extraction and genotyping.
I need to do some planning (#s, plan for learning to stage, plan for staging off frozens)
And, I need to work on S's project and on WM more generally (run M comp., transfer jobs over, run one and fix bugs, write up scanning)
OK, prayer time now!

Thanks crazybug!
Going a little slow today, but I have had prayer time, gone to library, gone to 1 mtg, checked on expts, done p/c extraction, and worked on plan for staging off frozens.
Now, I'm going to keep working on plan and do genotyping.
I think that S's project is not going to happen today, unless I decide to skip bible study.
feel well
Kromer - hope you feel better soon. Make sure to plan rest time into your schedule so you'll have more energy for important stuff. :)
Have a great day!

Show up (done) Think it through
Grateful that today I am past the "show up" zone and can (off-and-on)- with the help of PA friends go to the "follow though" zone. I find the bridge I cross from one zone to the other is full of shame, denial, discomfort, past history, memories, core beliefs, delusions, and so much more. But because I am not alone, I can walk that bridge without falling into the bottomless pit. One step at a time.
Thanks for being here.
Announcement : I found this site listed here months ago and got an interesting e-mail if anyone is interewsted, it is open to all:
So if you know yourself to be a *packrat* *paperhound* or *procrastinator* be sure and bring your most pressing challenges to the call. I'll stay on the line until all questions are answered.
And feel free to invite your friends.

congratulations on your progress vic. It is a testament, I think, to your committment to just 'showing up'. I wish you peace and progress.

Thank You, the real testament is to my HP for leading me here in a time of crisis, the "we" receovery on this program support, acceptance, and true understanding that becomes a way of life. If this could work for me, it could work for anyone. I am not where I want to be but not where I was, and there is hope. Anyone new, keep coming back, we all have a new start every day.

I am thankful in this day for PA and the wonderful people here who are striving to better themselves.
This morning got off to a rocky start as a result of a project that I have procrastinated on for 2 months. The project will be completed this afternoon however and I can cross it off my list. I will try not to beat myself up about it too much.Once I was forced to face the tasks I 1) saw where I could have broken it into steps and 2) noticed that the parts that I dreaded weren't really all that bad. So, I am noting these lessons and committing it to my learning process to use on future projects.
I need to take some time to reflect on these lessons and read some positive literature for a few moments to get my mind in a better state before I get started on my work day.
The goals I can think about right now:
-15 min mood booster
-bookkeeping tasks
-email re phone
-find program for client
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race” Calvin Coolidge (30th President of the United States, 1872-1933)
