tues sept 28 - tracy-la showing up for more progress...

Good morning. Didn't melt yesterday. High was 113 in downtown L.A. A record. My own record is that I've shown up on this site for at least two weeks in a row or called one of my program friends every day :)

Gratitude - Done

Check calendar for today and week - done

Plan to plan -  yes, and as bonus sent email to employees on followup and delegated items today. Done

Show up and check in - Yes and done Will do another call or email today if I have time.

Exercise - plan to do and am going to see nutritional counselor at 5 pm (haven't been for 5 months but checking in with her every month helps me be more conscious about how I eat, drinking water, exercising, etc. even though I eat healthy and exercise most of the time)

Have a great day! tracy-la

Back to it

1:30 PM: Month out of work has found me drifting without getting a lot done. Appears the new job will begin with travel, but details not yet worked out. Getting nervous because that may come up as soon as next week, and I don't feel ready. My major procrastination at present centers on something I really have to get done this week, my overdue 2009 taxes. My extension expires October 1. I am sitting at the computer, ostensibly with the goal of getting 'unstuck' and working on my unfinished taxes. I have started them, even gotten soime tedious parts out of the way, but got bogged down and have been unable to make myself get back to them. There are good reasons to work on them. Who knows, I might even manage to get some money back. Okay, I am going to try to break it down as I did with the overdue cases that wore on me right up until the very last day at my old job.

Goal 1: 2:00 - 2:30 PM:  30 minutes working on taxes without breaks. Back to report.

Urk. Managed to waste more time by looking for an online timer download. Have it now.

Revised Goal 1: 3:15 - 3:45 PM: 30 minutes working on taxes without breaks. Back to report.

Actually managed to work pretty staedily for 2 hours plus.

hope4meandu checkin (1:00PM)

Hi Peeps,

Thanks Lennon for the starter, always like the way you begin your check-ins!!

((Lucky)) prayers and good things for you & the job situation.

I'm really procrastinating on:
-apply for 0% credit card
-call gym again to rectify $ situation

Last night I did my work out tape and thankfully, thankfully it went well and my back held up.

Tonight:
-10 to 15 mts of stomach
-clean kitchen floor?
-clean freezer?
-clean oven?
-cut more of Yoffee's nails

My strategy today is to create consistency. So far, have it with Yoffee's care, thank HP!!!! Now, if I can get into a consistent workout, I think that will help in other areas as well.

Kindest regards to all!!

♥Prayers & guidance needed & appreciated for my Yoffee's healing.♥

wh.syl Sept 28, Making Goals

Hi, everyone

I haven't checked in  since Friday.

I have had a lot of difficulties but breakthrough as well.

 2 goals

  •  Establish boundaries
  • Control procrastination.

I have read everyone check-ins

 Keep writing.

It helps all of us to be in touch.

I'll check in later. and list my successes and failures.

Thanks

 Good and bad news this

Good and bad news this week - bad news is that my two colleagues and I are at risk of redundancy - good news is we're being given PAID LEAVE until Oct 22 while they sort things out! There's a good redundancy package if I do lose my job, so I don't have to rush to find work before I know it's necessary. I'm going to use this time off to rest, think, pray, read, write, tidy, get my finances in order and work on myself. I'm sure there will be procrastination, and there will be guilt about procrastination, and that's okay. I'm doing my best.

Going easy on myself today because I'm probably more traumatised than I feel (if that makes any sense)

Show up :) First time I managed THAT in a couple of days!
Pray & read bible :)
Walk dog :)
Buy butter :)
Clear kitchen
Clear table

journey 10 am & updates

Slow start this morning but I did make it back to the gym today.   I'm taking tomorrow afternoon off, have a dr. appt at 1:30 and then I'm going to use the rest of the afternoon to catch up on chores and rest.   I think I'm over whatever little virus I had over the weekend but still feeling tired.  Yesterday passed by in a fog and I was totally in reactive mode.   I'm starting out today with a review of my project list, goals, and todo list.   Getting the "big picture" in view always helps me to focus on the things that are really important.   Have a meeting coming up in a few minutes but it's a conference call so I can multi-task a bit and get my todo list done during the meeting I hope.   Have coffee, will multi-task.

UPDATE 2 pm - Still slow and fuzzy but feeling much more organized, and working on the right things, although not quickly lol

Show up (done), think it through

Had no idea how deep in denial I was with some of my "unfinished business items" a true case of sweeping them under the rug and even I forgot about them, except for the nagging feeling. Now that I looked at some I honestly do not know where to start, my only hope is my HP, and PA I need to remind myself of what I "did do" and go from there, that I do know.

Crazybug (early) CI

Very proud of myself for getting up at 5am today.  I wasn't super productive this time, but the fact of just getting up is great!  I would like to start doing some exercise at this time, but need to make a specific plan for doing so.

Anyway, haven't completely planned out the day yet. Need to have a priority planning meeting with the Boss to see what to best focus on.

Will post back when I gather my thoughts.

:)
