Monday Checkin

It's been a while, and I'm feeling it. But I'm here!

Done:
Breakfast
Work (part 1)
Shop for dinner

Lunch
One load of dishes
Read play & prep for rehearsal
Work (Leaving in 10!)

Pack snacks for rehearsal
Take out trash

To do to tomorrow:

Put away laundry from yesterday
New load of laundry

New setting

9:49 AM: No longer at work, but have to deal with new procrastination challenges to make my transition period between jobs positive and constructive. That means confronting undone things in my shoebox apartment and personal business. Also, this is the perfect opportunity to catch up on volunteer work that has been on the back burner. This is part 1 of hitting "reset", and I have to approach it firmly. Just being free of my heinous job situation has me feeling more relaxed. An importantfocus will be avoiding wasting time online.

Goal 1: 10 - 10:30 AM: Quick breakfast and geting ready.

Goal 2: 10:30 AM - 12 Noon: Overdue laundry, overdue cleaning.

Goal 3: 12 Noon - 2 PM: Await telephone repairman.

Goal 4: 2 PM - 3:30 PM: Lunch, go to bank, drop off drycleaning.

Goal 5: 3:30 PM: Pick up kids, transport to and from after school activities.

Goal 6: Exercise?  Would be nice to get on track with that, even if just short period.

Back to report periodically.

Journey's Sleepy Monday &

Good morning!   Well, the whole getting to work earlier plan is going backwards.   I barely squeaked in on time this morning after getting to the gym later than usual.   I have a fine excuse today though - my 3-year grandson spent the night with me for the first time since he was a baby.   He's refused to spend the night away from his mom since he could talk, but last night I was giving him a bath because he was a filthy muddy mess and he asked to spend the night with me!  How could I say no?   And skipping the gym is not an option!

It's now 10:30, I've done email, and handled two or three urgent small tasks.  Now for the todo list for the rest of the day!

UPDATE 1 pm.   An excellent club meeting at noon and I volunteered to lead a section and did a great job (pats self on back).  I'm not good at public speaking and/or crowds so survived a double whammy.   Now the objective is to take no more than 30 minutes to eat lunch and recover.   A stressful situation, even a successful one, is a danger zone for me.   It's ok to take some recovery time, but it's not an excuse to slack off for the rest of the day lol.

Rexroth Check In

Thanks for the rainbow picture and for starting today's thread movingalong. It has raised my spirits.

Woke early having not slept well with a mixture of excitement and anxiety about my journey. Today I need to do one task at a time and complete each task as I go alone.

Done:
Up prayer and reflection
Washed up, cleared up and finished washing kitchen and hall floors
Brought all travel stuff out of kitchen so it is now in one place
Checked emails and postings

Todo:
Rest and personal care
Email friend why put it off till just before I leave?
Print out final? packing list
Check I have everything
Trial pack things - so I can stop worrying about how heavy things might be and find out and if necessary ditch some stuff
Finish cleaning part of craft machine - small and fiddly
Bath and wash hair
Put on washing machine with whites
Admin for trip - make sure I have records of info I need

I have too much time and feel I have too little

Regards Rexroth

Rexroth Update

Done:
All the above and
Spoken on phone with friend who wishes me well
Found the taxi company I used before - I shall book a cab and it would be daft to risk my health by trying to carry my case even though it does not weigh much
Tidied up in kitchen and thrown out rubbish
Eaten up food and in fact eaten too much - nerves
Hung up washing
Rested for part of the time
Checked emails - was expecting email from friend who phoned

Todo:
Finish listing todos for tomorrow
Rest - I have done well today
Prayer and reflection
Bed and sleep

My luggage is heavier than I thought it would be but not by very much and it will get lighter as I go on my way. I need to unpack and repack.

Regards Rexroth

Rexroth Check Out
