Prayers/positive thoughts/hugs to all!!!

I read all of the entries from this morning and found myself wanting to respond to everybody (thus procrastinating even more :P ) so thought I'd just write one entry saying that I'm pulling for you all and am very grateful to have found this site and all of the supportive people on it. It reminds me that so many of us anxious, procrastinating folks are also caring, sensitive and introspective on the other side of that same coin!

re:hugs to all

Yep, I'd like to respond more and in more depth, especially when welcoming new folks, but we could be on this site all day if we did that -- and that would defeat the purpose lol.  Ditto to Gmarie says, I may not always reply to everyone but I'm thinking of you!

Hard start

10:09 AM: Having difficulty getting started, continuing a trend for the week. Although I am in the denouement phase of this job, I really don't want to be scrambling frantically the last week to tie up loose ends and finish overdue reports. Yet the light at the end of the tunnel is more of a distraction than a motivator. Boss is out of town, and I haven't dragged myself into work yet. This is no good. First goal for today is just to get out of here.

Goal 1: Out the door by 10:40 AM. Back to report.

12:22 PM: Okay, still in slo-mo. Got out the door around 11:20. Had early lunch, now at work. Want the day to be productive.

Going back to the selected items from yesterday:

I *have to* work on overdue cases, no way around it. Did manage to work on 6 cases. Nothing has changed on this front, though; still plenty to do. Will continue.

I should do a little on my volunteer work, not necessarily a lot, just to keep from falling farther behind. Did do some, should do some more today. Chipping away lets me - and worried committee co-members - see that there is some, albeit slow, progress.

Smile I could send the overdue checks, if I just use regular mail. This is
kind of funny, in an embarrassing way. I have been procrastinating
because I wanted to send them via overnight mail and haven't gotten to
the post office. So days are passing. What is wrong with this picture?

I could do a little laundry tonight, perhaps, and get the drycleaning items together to drop off tomorrow.  Didn't do laundry, but did take care of dropping off drycleaning. Maybe some laundry tonite.

I would love, love, love to get even a lilttle exercise in. This will be
a long, tough row to hoe, and it won't get any easier with passing
time. No progress on this. Maybe tonite, if I can get serious about the work piece rather than letting it expand to fill my day, precluding 'extracurricular' activities.

Goal 2: 12:45 - 2 PM: 5 cases, ~15 minutes per case, picked appropriately.

Back to report.

Agnus checking in

Yay God!  J's outpatient procedure went flawlessly and best of all, they could not find the "spot" to biopsy!  We are confirmed in believing that God has already healed him in this regard. Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts.

Today it is back to business and lots of it. I lost about 6 hours Monday dealing with technology snafus and then was off yesterday, so way behind again.  I hate this feeling. Nothing makes me want to procrastinate more than the feeling of being way behind in my responsibilities! So I will use NowDoThis and Chat as needed to get through this challenging list today:

  • Read 1 hour SB
  • file SB report
  • read GM stuff
  • id GM approach
  • draft GM narrative
  • send above to client
  • do July reports, share with team
  • review 4 new data sets - need to amend ta?
  • listen to 3 presentations and take notes
  • finish 4 contract briefs

  • KEEP on list for later scheduling:
read the fin APs report from KT
    read KT IN report
    read Mi email
    read nrc newsletter
    folo up etp
    ap resources note and signoff
    get complete with 3fers
    call arnp for folo up
    deal with the fsa thing

(Agnus)

YES! THANK YOU FOR SHARING.

I keep hearing/reading of medical healing by prayer. I NEED to remember , when all else fails, what do I have to lose by praying? I find it even works when I say, God, you know I don;t mean a work of this but..... Always amazing.

YAY ((Agnus)) so happy to hear about J's healing!!

Journey 9:15

Working from home today and it's easy to get distracted here.   I'll use Instant Boss and  take frequent breaks in which I'll allow myself to do small house chores.   It's funny that on weekends housework seems like a burden but when I'm supposed to be working it seems like fun!  Maybe I can find a way to use that to my advantage, I'll have to think about that!

Anyway, I've been to the gym and I'm going to make my todo list, then have a quick breakfast before my 10 am conference call.  Back shortly with the list.

hope4meandu check-in (8:30AM)

Hi All,

Thanks Rexroth for the starter.

Another drama unfolds. Yesterday my boss sent me out to do errands. Idiot me left the craigslist job ads open on my screen. Idiot me doesn't think he'll look on my computer.

So he tells me today is my last day. He considers me a friend bla, bla, bla. Idiot me. Worried about all the bad-mouthing he will be doing about me and ruining my reputation (not considering all the bad-mouthing I've been doing about him).

My husband is already calling me a burden. Do I set these things up so I can end up feeling sorry for myself? So now I'm anxious, very anxious. I have glimpses of thinking something really good will happen. Am I delusional?

Will make phone calls later to people to see if anyone knows of openings. The last thing I want to do is do cleaning house work, I pray to be willing to be willing to be willing if this is what I should be doing.

Have to remember to keep breathing.

To do:
-craigslist
-phone calls
-Drs. appt. 2:00PM
-exercise 10 minutes (didn't do yesterday)
-cleaning

Sending prayers to you all today!

♥Prayers & guidance needed & appreciated for my Yoffee's healing.♥

(Hope)

Sometimes God does for us what we could not do alone. It was not a good place for you and maybe this would have been the only way to save you from weeks of more suffering.

For me, I too wonder if I "set things up" I have many Coda issues, found a good site with Dr. Irene on line - may have some answers to your questions.  http://drirene.com/paid_stuff/e-mail.htm

But you are "showing up" in all of this and that gives me "Hope" in more ways than one.! your showing up buddy, Vic (hug)

(((vic)))

Thanks for the site suggestion, I checked it out and it fits lots. Appreciate your support "show-up buddy."

It is so comforting to know we are no longer alone in anything.

♥Prayers & guidance needed & appreciated for my Yoffee's healing.♥

Hang on

So sorry to hear things took such a swift, unpleasant turn at work. Easier said than done, but hang on. Calmer waters are ahead eventually. Peace to you.

Thanks ((4)), appreciate your support so very much!!

♥Prayers & guidance needed & appreciated for my Yoffee's healing.♥

((((Hope))))

Oh, Hope, I'm so sorry to hear that!  Prayers that you find a new job quickly and that it is a job you love.

Jo

'A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you.' - Elbert Hubbard

((Jo)) much thanks and love to you!!

Your words are so healing and wonderful.

♥Prayers & guidance needed & appreciated for my Yoffee's healing.♥

another hug for ((Hope))

I am adding my own Amen to Journey's prayer for you, Hope.  More than once God has used my "foolish" mistakes to free me from situations I might never have escaped otherwise.  One of my character defects (steps 4-7) is misplaced loyalties, so I've come to see "forced changes" as answers to my Step 7 prayers.

Always in retrospect, of course.  In the process, I'm usually freakin' with fear!

You are doing the wise thing, reaching out, doing the footwork, staying willing and praying for more willingness.  Your boss sounds very abusive so perhaps this is not a bad thing at all, rather God's rescue of one of His beloved kids.

((Agnus)), Wow, really have no words to thank you

I feel surrounded, protected & calmed by your loving words. Many prayers and blessing to you & your family.

♥Prayers & guidance needed & appreciated for my Yoffee's healing.♥
