Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
The last two days have been bad for me since they involve tasks that I really dread. Today and tomorrow I have to finish up on them in order to have a good weekend.
I had to work late today and it is raining, so I'm not exercising today. I want to get as much of the following done as possible- in order by priority:
gather info for applications DONE
start resume DONE
finish collins
tidy house
pack lunch, clothes, breakfast for tomorrow
G part 2 DONE
write S
hibiscus
one slab
Hopefully I can do MOST of this and be caught up by tomorrow. It will have to be a busy evening.
EDIT: in the end, I did not do most of these tasks, but I did more than just start the resume and the application- I completed it. Now with this off my shoulders, hopefully everything else will be easier.
4pm update: I forgot about an appointment at church this afternoon, and I forgot about 2 important calls this morning, and I forgot about a conference call today. This is the result of getting >6 hours of sleep per night since Sunday. God please help me remember how desperately I need to RESIST the BEGINNING of procrastinating my bedtime. Thank you. Amen.

After a really good day yesterday, I'm a little bit wiped today, and am just now settling down to work.
Today there are a lot of really clearly defined tasks I need to do, so hopefully procras. will be at a minimum.
Scheduled: class 1-2:30, training 5-6:15, harambee 6:15-8:30ish
Urgent/important tasks:
*Email RH
*Reading for ethics training
*Look at cells, transfect if ready *Finish fellowship report (started)
*Progress report
*Answer questions, divide up exam for grading
*Finish reading paper, email about conference
*deacon notes(will do this soon)
Others tasks I would like to get done
*Finish pset1, start pset2
*Work on EA's stuff
*Work on organizing papers/computer files
*Work on pset
OK, going to do progress report and fellowship report now, then I'll answer questions, then I'll do transfections.
Good day so far! Yesterday was just ok, had trouble concentrating while working at home. I'm considering cutting back to just one day of working from home once we move to the new building, depending on how comfortable I feel in the new office. At least we should have elevators and plumbing that work lol! The real downside is that I'll have to give up cooking nice healthy dinners for the family on those nights. Anyway, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it! We're not moving until July or August.
I've been to the gym, read email, checked calendar, and I'm almost done with daily planning. My head is just full of interesting and distracting stuff today, as it was yesterday. Hard to sit still and concentrate on just one thing at a time. I'm making an unschedule now with some planned time for those non-work interests. Hopefully that will help me stay on task.
I may or may not check in much today depending on the proximity of vendors which are in town today, but I'll be thinnking of you anyway.

Today started out with being awakened by a person I met in an another program calling to reach out for help: what a great way to start the day! Even better, when the call ended it was time for me to join the phone meeting and so I feel very 'programatic' today.
I would like to spend the next half hour getting ready to face the day and then go downtown to deal with that scary issue at the consulate. If I do nothing else today, that will be an enormous step forward, even if it doesn't lead to good results.
I have work at 1:30 until 5:00 and then I would like to come home and work on daily tasks: dinner, cleaning routines.
I am committed to a phone check in at 9:30, at 12:30, at 5:30 and at 9:00. These really help me to get my mind back on track with what my goals are and moving forward on them.
For now, I am going to get moving! Have a good day!

Today was a combination of progress and procrastination. And I am okay with that.
Today I worked, shifted laundry, dealt with dishes, found food to eat for supper, and straightened the house. I called the consulate and found out what needs to happen before I go in. So, I need to write a letter to the University to get what I need. That was a big step in the write direction, but I want to take care of that.
I made most of my phone check ins today, missing the one at 12:30. Mea culpa. I have an additional one at 9:30 tonight. I want to have the dining room straightened out so that tomorrow I can roll right into taxes. I am working in timer shifts with breaks in between and feeling good about that.
will check back later

Today my goal is to stay focused on my next 3 things (microbursts?) I can use the tools of PA to help me 1. chatbox 2. calls 3. ck in I am writing them so I can remember, I tend to get amnesia when I get distracted. (which is all the time/ but have some progress)
