@ Lucky
Thanks Lucky! My daughter is much better, she is going back to to work on Tuesday.
I have a Yellow English lab, she weighs 95 lbs! She's a big ol' dumb dog, but she's a sweetie. We also have a 12 year old Border Collie. He's getting to be a bit of a grouchy old man but we still love him!
UPDATE this was supposed to be in reply to lucky's post lol

Great news about your
Great news about your daughter. Labs and collies are my favourites! (Well, and chihuahuas thanks to my housemate's 6lb ball of fur... :) ) Is it me or are there a LOT of dog people here?
Well, I promised myself I
Well, I promised myself I would check in every day no matter what. Saturday and Sunday were failures for me. Very disappointed in myself. Getting up in 5 hours to hopefully start a better week.
(Huma)
I find this the most "reliable" way of checking in for where I am in my life right now. If things change in my life, this may change. The am phone meeting could be a check in and they have continuious check in's on the half hour all day. I find that whatever method works is what I use, maybe sat. sun would be better using a different method, or maybe use fri for sat and sun and report mon. and make it optional. we are here to learn to recovery and find what works best, so you did fulfill your promise in that sense.
One day at a time, every day is a starting over.
Don't worry Huma, we all
Don't worry Huma, we all break our promises to ourselves sometimes, that's why we're here :) Best of luck with this week - don't expect miracles of yourself on 5 hours' sleep and I hope you get a more restful night tonight than you did last night!
5:36pm for Lark
Wow, it's after 5 pm already, and it looks like some stuff isn't going to be finished today. Time to prioritize. I've made progress on alot of things, but I need to finish some stuff, and mark it off the list. But what...
The rest of the day:
(X)1. as much as possible for work project A
2. suitable spiritual (not me) time
3. finish kitchen table (It's better than ever so far!)
(X)4. put stuff away for 15 minutes
(X)5. call CB
6. paint edges and corners in workshop
(X)7. dust in house

Happy Sunday!
I have been cleaning away-which is great, but what I really need to do are my reports-and lots of them! Yesterday my work closed because of the weather. It was great to have a Saturday off to go into the city and visit museums w/family.
I thought I would start my reports last night- but then again....I knew I wouldn't. thought I would...knew I wouldn't sums it up
I have the rest of the day sched. for report writing fun.

Starting to feel a bit motivated with spring coming soon, grateful. Thanks for being here. walk, paperwork, plan (done) spend time with family
Cal20 Checking in
Service billing is number one today. That's all I'm going to focus on after cleaning up the kitchen and putting away landry. If I have time, maybe the A/R project and year-end, but keeping focused what I need to do today.
This is the type of self-imposed pressure I create. Don't bill out services, get behind, create more pressure, finally, it becomes the one and only thing I MUST do. Such a crazy pattern of behavior, but that's why I'm here.
Why do I do this to myself and my family?!

8:45 ci for Lark
Hi everyone. Among other things, this is month catch up day. The main thing here is to focus on a project in my workshop. It's about as far along as I'd hoped it would've been yesterday around noon, so I'm working today. This morning is the big focus, so I'll concentrate on a short list, and do another in the afternoon.
This morning
(X)morning routine
spiritual time
(X)turn up workshop heat
(X)focus on project A
(X)cleaning swoops wherever I am
glue loose sole on (new!) shoe
(X)check in at lunch

Journey 12:45 am
Working tonight, this is to fix the scheduling mistake . . . yay, I'll be glad when it's all fixed up and I don't have to worry about it any more!
Today was fairly busy, I slept late, took my daughter to the doctor, visited mom, and bought groceries. My daughter fell on Friday - actually my giant dog knocked her down - and hurt her shoulder. She had to call in sick to work, so she wanted to get a doctor's note since she hasn't been working there that long, and she didn't feel up to driving herself with the sore shoulder. I purposely didn't invite the kids for dinner since I had to work but my son called and asked if they could come over for a while so that my daughter in law could study, so I ended up playing with grandkids for a couple hours anyway. I might as well have cooked for them lol. Oh well, I'm glad they like to visit Grandma, and I had fun.
Working now for a few hours then . . . sleep, and lots of it!
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!
Jo

Sorry to hear about your
Sorry to hear about your daughter - but I love the cheerful tone of this post with everything that's going on - you get an 'A' for Attitude :) (That sounds like a hackneyed motivational slogan, but actually I just made it up...)
What breed of dog have you got?
