OCz monday ci

Good morning everyone!

It's a shiny monday... which is a novelty at the time! And I'm getting better from the flu, although not completely recovered I know it will be a better day than any on last week. So, thank God for this day and this new oppportunity!

Things I need to work on this week, with no particular order:

  1. Review MoP proposal
    1. Prepare mgr presentation
    2. Mgr meeting on thusrday 3pm!
    3. setup local contract for ppr
    4. get mgr decision on oprtr
    5. Implementation plan
  2. Review all POs
    1. Place PO for CACV - review pending one
    2. Review problem with HP PO
  3. TCL change preparation
    1. Prepare invoicing format for Tcl
    2. Review list of users
    3. Plan for full roll over
    4. Plan new link setup
    5. New Lns:
      1. Mollev - B9
      2. Romero - ask?
  4. 2010 review with mgr
    1. Budget
    2. Objectives
    3. Development

hmm... seems a ot, but I wont allow myself feel overwhelemed by it. At least its now on paper (well, at least lectronic) so I know what I must do this week! much better than previous week where I was completely lost!

Have a great day/week/life! Smile!

"fall down seven times, get up eight" - japanese proverb

(Clem)

Hi Clem, I fall into that perception as well. But my truth is that "self-sufficiency" seems to be my greatest defect. Thank goodness we found the rooms. There are many still out there searching for we have found.

Hey Clement

I feel like I know that too very well..feeling like coming here is a weakness and why do I possibly need help with somethat that should be so natural and easy. I keep waiting to graduate.

Really true statement: "when I'm weak, then I'm strong," (but sometimes it doesn't "feel" that way).

I know that if I didn't have you guys, the website would have taken me longer to do...

Have a successful, great day.

Sorry Clement...wish I could say something that would help

hope4meandu check-in 9:30AM

Thanks Falcon, great starter!! Happy MLK day All!!

I never thought I'd drag my feet in posting my website, now that I got through that major barrier, but I'm scared to put it out there. There is a group of pet care people who usually ask each other to check out their websites. I'm too fearful of the bad comments to reach out to them. I know it would be helpful, but I fear hearing bad comments & then just giving up. I guess I also fear once it's out there, I still won't get business.

I decided to look at things a different way: instead of looking at not cleaning my apartment as a failure, to look at my comittment to starting this business that I might like and don't want to leave every second, is a positive thing. While I'm on the computer, I'm listening to music and singing and having a ball..I love to sing and I love music..!!

I'm also kind of at the point where I'm sick of everyone (not you all)...it feels like in my life all I have around me are people that hurt me, except my sponsor, thank G_D.

To do:
-call & schedule Dr. K re: Y - schedule appt
-resumes
-write out questions need to ask Dr. K.
-wash S
-food shopping?
-put website on craigslist
-try to get my site on a heavily trafficked site by people in my neighborhood
-clean kitchen?
-do laundry?

Have to show up to work tomorrow and I know I'm going to find a reason not to, will call my sponsor and schedule a call in the a.m. to get me to work...that worked last time.

May you all have a great day!!

kromer 9:20 CI

Happy MLK day! (It's apparently a real holiday...I was expecting lab to be busy today, but I'm the only one here so far.)

MITs for the day are:
*Finish IHC
*Fix javascript validation
*Teaching tasks: Install pylab, spend 45 min figuring out how to use course system, email CB and PG, look over old psets
*Email about data

Medium priority:
*Dancing
*Laundry
*Plan for RT
*Calibrate microscope (if YC is around)

Low prioirty:
*Basic comparison to stages data
*Clean out WM folder

OK, I'm going to work on IHC now. This has a lot of breaks, so during the breaks I'll work on teaching tasks and emails.

Update 4:10--Right now, I'm starting the fix to JS validation
Tasks are:
a)Figure out why jobs are stalled
b)Edit scripts so can add a new species without horrible kludginess

c)Add server-side validation
d)Clean up probeid thing

Journey 9:30

Good morning!  Today is a holiday for me but I want to get a bit of work done anyway.  I got up early and went to the gym, even after staying up later than I planned - I had to watch 24!  But I was at the gym at 5:20 anyway.   I'm sure I'll be tired enough to go to bed really early tonight.

I've been goofing around on the computer since I got home from the gym, so time to get up and get moving.  First of all, I need a shower, then some laundry, and then boot up the work computer.

how do i get the strike through

question: how do i get the strike through function to work? i can see it in my "draft" but it disappears upon posting.  thanks for the help :)

Highlight what you want to

Highlight what you want to strike through and then click the ABC button at the top left of the text box. :)

Thanks Lucky

Thanks Lucky.  I tried that, but didn't work.  It *looks* like it worked, but when I click "post" it goes back to regular text.

Maybe I am dim but...

What and where is the text box please? I've looked and cannot find anything that is labled 'text box' not anything which looks to me as though it might be.

Thanks Rexroth

Hi Rexroth

The textbox is the box that you type in (as far as I know).  See right above the area you type and you'll see B for bold, I for italics, U for underline, then ABC for strikeout.

Hope this helps :)

Obviously

Obviously, my strikeout function still isn't working :(

Falcon CI for Mon. a.m.

Good morning, amigos!

I'm carrying over some tasks and some rules from Sunday:

  • Clean bathroom
  • Clean kitchen counters, etc.
  • Clean living room
  • Do the assignment I brought home from work .- DONE
  • Look at bills

Rules:  Until these chores are done, no web surfing except to answer emails (and check in here, of course!) no reading and no crossword puzzles.  If I want to read a little while eating breakfast or lunch I need to set a timer so that I don't get sucked into it.

I've got some other commitments today and  likely won't get to much of this until Tuesday and Wednesday in the evenings, so these rules will likely be in effect for several days.  They should help me use little pockets of time, since I won't be able to fill the time with any goofing-off activities.

Falcon

Edited Wednesday night to add:

Whoops.  I fell down on the "no goofing off activities" tonight.  Got a bunch of things on my mind and have been surfing rather than getting centered.
