Movingalong's Sunday check-in

Hello all.

Lots to do today.

First, I will get the trash ready for garbage collection.

Then I will work on laundry and organize some bills.

That will get the energy flowing, and activate motivation for more tasks later.

Action ---> motivation ---> Sparkly week

Spirit 11/29

Hello everyone-busy day so far.  I have been in action since 8:oo.

  • Pulled clothes in closet and sorted-move to completion stage when I actually remove the items I am releasing
  • Made and ate breakfast
  • Made Bed
  • Three hook up calls

That was hard because it is beautiful here today and I want to enjoy some of the great weather.  I must go to the step meeting on line today at 2:30.  Need to figure out how to get into the meeting on line.  Need sunshine-

  • get leaves off deck and do meeting outside
  • prepare closthes for party tonight
  • leave early enough to purchase gift for party by 4pm
  • wash hair

I'm ill and unable to do much but what I am going to do is

Washup everything

Clean the top of the cooker

Put the rubbish ready to go out

Get food out from freezer to thaw for tomorrow

Phone calls

Put mail and papers away

Put medicines away

Done and so am I !

Done and I've put the rubbish out and made the bed neither of which I thought I would be able to do.

So now a little time on the laptop and then bed.

Julesk CI for Sunday

Hi guys, long time no see.  I think I've been burying my head in the sand.

I watched a couple episodes of Hoarders yesterday, and even though I don't have that issue, (there but for the grace of God...) it made me really think about my behaviors which are SO similar.  (procrastinating, obsessing, lack of balance and clarity aroung housekeeping, finances, time...)

I had hoped to go to church today, but did not.  Now I am off to a meeting.

The main thing I want to do today to keep my house in good order is to take leaves to composting.  ABout a half hour task.  I plan to do that when I get home, 2:00 or so.

Thanks for being here!

J

re: hoarders

me too. i do have some of that issue, but i also see the strong similarity to the underlying issue!

thank god for this place!

Hope-Faith CI 10:15

Hi all,

Plans for this week are in place. I got a bit sidetracked last week I was actually hoping to accomplish alot last week as I had 3 days off from work but Thanksgiving with family, Shopping and just some well deserved down time chipped away at my time. So many of the items that where on my list last week are still on my list this week.

Motivation for the week -- There are 86400 seconds in a day use them well. Do not get pinned down with "stuff" you can not do anything about just work the plan and the rest will fall into place. Do not try to help eveyone somepeople can not be helped just do your best.

Wow, movingalong, that

Wow, movingalong, that threadstarter is SPEAKING TO ME!

'The Bert Method' is going pretty well today:

Pray :) ('mini Quaker meeting' with E, AWESOME)
Creative writing :) (I'm really happy about this one so: :):):) )
Checked email etc :)
Read some of my book :)
Called bank :)

Oddly enough I'm finding that this method makes me more, not less, likely to face up to 'dreaded' tasks.  Rest of today will probably be devoted to cleaning, trying to flog things on ebay, and watching a film with my housemate.

BTW, prayers would be appreciated as I've got no money and am trying to find a bit of extra work!

Further to that: NO cleaning

Further to that: NO cleaning done yet, gaah! I need to find a decent way to restrict my internet use - something as simple as stashing the computer in a cupboard when not in use would probably do it.
