Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
Please do not leave advice. Thank you. Prayers welcome.
So I am going to do a 30-day detox:
* No youtube, no youtube watch network, no youtube on other sites whenever I can avoid it, no ustream, no blogtv
* no fan lines, especially saynow.com
* No facebook
* no okcupid or other dating sites, including jdate or Plenty of Fish
* No contacting men I find attractive on Myspace
* No Internet chat that is not twelve-step or for work purposes. When I think about doing this with someone I need to come back to my personal objectives.
* No public blogging on livejournal or blogspot and other such sites, but I can use blogger for private journalling, if necessary.
This morning I filled some trash bags & took them to the dumpster. I helped my dad with some stuff, visited my elderly aunt, put gas in my car, then bought some things at a store. I took some things to Goodwill. On the train, some people of a different race made fun of me. ((sigh)) I went to the gym. I colored my hair. I have fixed & eaten dinner. I've washed a couple of loads of clothes. I've got one more thing cooking in the oven. I haven't decided what I am going to do the rest of the evening, but I thought I would at least do my CI :)
Sounds like you are getting done a bunch of stuff. You inspire me to get my stuff to the Goodwill instead of just thinking about it. I wanted to tell you that your little wagging dog always makes me smile
ok, I helped out w/ church pancake party, went to church, had lunch with a friend, went for a walk: now it's time to do a little work.
Since it's the weekend and I'm feeling lazy, I'm not going to push myself to do too much, but I am going to try and make some progress. Today I want to do at least some of the following, in any order that seems doable:
*email to DR
*get readings
*plan pilot expt, sim readings on buffers
*RA source
*Dmc1 age
*Wm plan
*gen-int paper
*study oscillators (working on this now)
*lab mtg outline
OK, lab mtg outline sounds doable, I'll work on that now. heading to the chatbox; will update when the mtg outline is done.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to run the meeting. I wish i would have attended. My day did not turn out as planned, but fortunately some of the loose ends are coming together tonight (with the help of this site)
Well the sale is over and I am glad to have gotten rid of a ton. But you know, it made me realize that there's a whole next layer that I need to get rid of. Just like working my program - I get one thing down and there's the next. Oh well - I guess that's called progress!!!
I have a reward day today - church Fall Festival - beer and bingo and chicken dinner!
Plus thanks to my NOT procrastinating, I may well have a great job offer this week, which will help me to get some of my old self esteem back (and better income!) I think if I had not joined this site and thought about it on a daily basis, this would not have happened. Thanks for your service Pro - soon I'll be able to help out w/ 7th tradition.
add: sched pt, rem: dent. appt wed!, try to think of a hobby/leisure thing to do - I should pull out my sewing machine- that would really be great to do again
show up (DONE) Did not shut down and stayed with all my feelings (and lived). My husband just looked at my laptop and saw "Procrastinators Anonymous" and said "Honey, you are not Anonymous , you are a Well Known Procrastinator" I guess I am. Today: gratitude list, acceptance, surrender . I love the way Joyce Meyers put it: "Lord I surrender all of me today, Everything I am and Everything I'm Not"Yesterday not too bad, more done than I thought I would.
Church, library volunteer, better attitude, drive with son and store, walk.
Still consistently showing up, had fun with son, launched a boat and now some hom work. the cyber school accepted all my paperwork and he is preapproved and excited and so am I.
I finally am over the hump of my emotional tantrum and intend to continue to work and move forward with my PA program.I need to print out the step work of my workbook, time to really do some more work.
