Signing Up Was a MicroBurst

Hello!  My name is Julia and I am a procrastinator.   It's amazing how much life one can lose through this dynamic (disease/character defect, etc.)  It has made me very sick.  Through other programs, and now hopefully this one, I am excited that I am getting better and will hopefully get even better.

"The Now Habit" is great, I am doing a log and getting lots of revelations.  Also, "the War of Art" is amazing.

 Hurray for this site!

Hi to Julia

Thanks for the cheers on those two resources...I've had great success here on PA using the 12 Steps and the PA Tools but have not checked out those resources yet - putting on my to-do list for later (oops, does that sounds bad in a PA forum? teehee).

hi julia

Welcome. I believe like myself and many others that you will find recovery here.

FYI, the most popular tools here are the
Daily Check-ins at (you can see today's on the right sidebar), and chat at

Use the tools however they work for you. Check-in is the more permanent, concrete to do list - accountability place to refer back to start day and refer back and keep yourself on goal.

The chat is an ongoing motivational tool to help you stick to your check in. It's also a place to "talk yourself thru things." And, while working ppl can hear chat beeps going off. we call that "beeps of solidarity" because it's comforting to know that people are in chat working thru their issues, even if you're not reading the actual posts.
