            their satisfaction; work-weariness,

            earned rest...

It's a Monday alright!  Something on my 'puter triggered a full system scan that took more than an hour, and sponsor/sponsee calls took another hour. Then a critical software license expired and has taken more than an hour to resolve, reinstall and update - arg! I played freecell in between and during some of this, keeping myself slightly distracted, an admittedly compulsive behavior.  I am promptly admitting this to God, myself and other human beings, and asking my Higher Power to remove it now. Thanks, God!  One of the phone calls, when I wasn't distracting myself, actually became very soul-feeding, for which I am humbly grateful.

Now I need to have some lunch and do two hours of editing, revise a presentation and respond to some correspondence. Then I'll check back with HP for further directions.

I had a lot of trouble working this weekend, but now I'm in lab more or less on time and ready to work. For my first task, I will spend 20 min coming up with a schedule for the week and then will check back.

Update 9:50: Have made a schedule for the week. Here's what I need to get done today.

MITs:
*Buy backup hard-drive!
*1 hr bg reading
*Ask about computer+subgroup mtgs
*Finish clustering analysis for MC's project
*Make slide on CLR results

Other tasks:
*Plan for rotation project
*Additional hr bg reading
*GO analysis for MC's project
*Email TH,ED,VC,CE
*Take out trash, start budgeting

Breaks:
*square dance class
*Call AG

I'm going to start by finishing the clustering analysis, then I'll do an hour of bg reading.

Update 2:00--very frustrated today! I'm still trying to finish the clustering analysis. I'm somewhat unfamiliar with the software I'm using, and I'm running into a lot of unforeseen issues trying to normalize my data correctly. Deep breath, I'm in a new lab, it's OK that stuff is still going a little bit slowly, it doesn't mean that I'm stupid or doomed to failure. I'm going to spend another hour on this, then I'll transition to background reading.

Calculations for clustering analysis are *finally* done, though I still need to write them up. At this point, though, I think I'd better move on to other MITs...I'll do 1 hr of bg reading and buy back-up hard-drive, then check back in.

It's getting late and most people have left lab, so I think I can head to the chatbox to get this done...see you all there!

Update 7:40--about on hour and a half of focused bg reading, plus some goofing off. Now I'm quite fried. I'll take 20 min to get a snack, then head to square dance class. After class I'll head home, call AG, order backup hard-drive.
