e's mem day

Love the thread starter!

a good day to begin with, if still a bad hair day!
however, I am getting to face the fact that I put off something to its due date and now it is due and it is a holiday. so, now I will do my best to make it up, although I don't know if it is going to work. So, I am asking HP for guidance.

Otherwise, there is plenty to do. And that is good. And it is lovely outside.

going to work in 15 minute stints.

asking for help to do the next right thing

Journey 10 am

Good morning, it's a holiday for me, and my daughter's birthday!  Having the kids over for dinner/ bday party tonight.   Today I'm going to drag out my bike, dust it off, pump up the tires, and go for a ride!  And of course the usual dishes, laundry, dusting and vacuuming to get ready for company tonight.   The house is not bad, I already did the bathrooms so I just need to give it a general dusting and straightening.

have a great Monday everyone!

Recycler CI 10:05am EST

Hi Pro Buddies!

I'm still getting the day started around here :) I've taken stuff to Goodwill, put a load of clothes in the washer, and have fixed something to eat. Next: eat, putter around for a while and see what I can get into. I hope to update my CI later.

3:40pm. I've continued washing, drying, folding & putting away clothes. I've also done some loads of dishes in the dishwasher. I've made my gym/work bags for the week. I've also rested & paced myself. Next: write an email or journal a little bit. My other 12-step group is going to meet tonight, so I will head out to it in a few hours.

Have a great day, everyone1 :)

Scheduled for today: Harambee 6-9

MITs:
I need to work on preparing for a big presentation on Wednesday. This has been taking way longer than expected. Here's a breakdown of what I want to get done today.
*Run SAM to ID important TFs (well, ended up using a different method, but important TFs are identified)
*Run CLR with these TFs+Novartis data
*Average replicates+average across genes in neural compendium
*Make 4 slides for presentation: intro, data, SAM method, results (working on this now)
I also want to clean the kitchen, order a hard drive for backup, call GW, and have prayer/quiet time

Other tasks:
*Bg reading plan
*1 hr mouse development review
*Schedule for next week
*Grocery shopping
*GO analysis, SAM on time series data

Breaks: Walk, (maybe) call AG

OK, right now I'm going to clean the kitchen, then I'll run SAM, then I'll try to run CLR

Update 10:10--kitchen all clean, now have morning quiet time and then try to run SAM. Think these should both be done by noon.

kromer 3:30 CI

Today my focus has been decent, unfortunately work hasn't been totally cooperative :P

First MIT (identifying significant TFs) turned out to be much harder than I expected, but that's done now. I've also done 2 other, smaller MITs: cleaning the kitchen and having prayer time.

At 4:45, I want to leave on a walk (will walk to a far-away subway station and then take subway to Harambee). Before then, I would like to complete 2 more MITs: making slides, and starting CLR on TFs+Novartis compendium. On the walk, I'll return GW's phone call. After Harambee, I'll try to finish my last 2 MITs.

Update 4:45--made slides, but didn't get a change to start CLR. I'll do that as soon as I get back from Harambee.

kromer 10 CI

Took a walk, called GW, went to Harambee.

Came home and talked to AG...he had a seriously awful day, with some family issues+health issues, so I spent a while talking to him about that, and then a while after that praying about the situtation. So now I'm behind, but that kind of stuff happens. Now I'm going to at least get CLR started on Novartis compendium, and then start (30 min) on combining replicates for neural data. Then, I'll get up early tomorrow and do some more work on this project before heading to lab to work on DP's project.

Deej CI 25/05

Busy week this, with three days fully committed to group activities. So mostly reactionary items and not much strategic; such things will have to wait til next week. Unfortunately its taken a fair bit to get going today (but I do have a cold). Tasks...

  1. organise for meetings tomorrow
  2. write up and send FF Plan comments
  3. organise for field days (started)
    • go shopping
    • make calls to get more participants

monday

Getting started is the hardest part.  I think it works out better if you have your first morning activities planned before you go to bed.  This gets the ball rolling as soon as you wake up.

Several small tasks today and the completion of one big one:

Take L

clean up

errands: bank, v a, ticket

P1: announcement, BW chp

P3: byac

complete TS

email N

dinner

8PM Update- A few surprises today, so I didn't complete TS or email N but others I did.  Cooking dinner now.

I also wasted a lot of time online watching videos on YouTube.  Why??
