Hi I am new

Hello everyone! I am new and a chronic procrastinator. I am trying to break this horrible habit. It has definitely affected all aspects of my life. Does anybody have any tips/tricks to overcome this horrible habit? Any good sites/books to read? I would greatly appreciate any and all advice you guys have. Thanks!

Welcome to PA!

What works good for me is called "microbursting." 

Basically, microbursting is breaking things down into tiny little steps. Step 1, get books from the car. Step 2, open up to the right chapter. Step 3, get out pencil and paper. Step 4, sit down in front of book and start reading. Step 5, answer assigned homework questions. etc.

I think there is a post somewhere on this site that explains it better. I'll look around for it, but perhaps someone else could post it if they know where to find it?

Welcome trinitygrace.

I only joined a few days ago so I don't have much to offer but I have been using the book-ending (check-in check-out) today and its going well enough (am not exactly efficient but doing something is a lot better than doing nothing)

Anyhow, so that might be a good place for you to start.
