Agnus checking in
I e-fasted most of the weekend, focused on being where my feet were, spiritual stuff and family. It was actually a great weekend. Lots of mellow J-and-Ag time, a massage, bathed the dog, finally bought the new TV we've been procrastinating for a year, enjoyed beautiful worship, breakfast out, and then the "fun" of together assembling the TV stand we also bought.
Today started with dr appt, groceries and some productive work, though almost nothing went as scheduled/planned! My focus is a bit off: cat seems to be sick again, and there were 2 unsettling calls re: Dad and Mom (helps to know others here can relate to this). So, just really re-starting now, looking at original to-do's today:

Hi Pro Buddies!
I'll be at my support group tonight, so doing end-of-the-work-day CI now :)
Did my full routine at the gym this morning.
My work assignment list is beefed back up after planning meeting this morning. Oh I need to stay on track this week :o
Did an errand at lunch.
Got to go!

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)
Journey 2 pm a bit of a late checkin today :)
Was late getting in to work due to taking care of some stuff for Mom & Dad, so I got here about 10 and the excrement hit the air conditioner as soon as I walked in the door. One thing was my fault, something I forgot to do when my dad was in the hospital so I had to rush around and get it done this morning, the other was filling in for an absent coworker on a critical task. Finally I have time to catch my breath and think!
While I eat lunch I'm going to review my todo list and see what I can salvage from the rest of the day! I feel pretty energized and excited by getting so much done this morning so I hope it will carry forward into the afternoon. In a way, this adrenaline rush is the "reward" for procrastinating. I don't want to fall back into the mode of creating crisis by postponing stuff until the last minute but it kinda feels good. I'll have to think about this.
Anyway, quick lunch break and desk straightening, followed by planning the rest of the day. I'll be working until 6 so I have 4 hours left in the work day.
See y'all in the chatbox.

okay, starting
okay, starting next Saturday I'm going to check in on the weekends as well. Hopefully that will help me get some more work done then as well. Maybe I should also go into the office when I have work to do as that should take me away from the distractions of home as well.
Anyway, today I will get that Ford ppt done (it should have been done over the weekend).

It took an hour to ice the cake....the steps included wasnt just the icing, I had to cut the cake, make the icing, ice the first layer, center and lay the top layer, then ice it so it looked half decent, then sprinkle artistically, all while fending little fingers off. And then clean up after all the icing sugar and icing from surfaces I swear I did not go near....ah well, it is done! No wonder I make a cake only a couple times a year!
Revised list
fold laundry
dust tv et al
change fish water
water plants (with fish water?? )
prep roast
I have a mini break here, finishing a coffee I started an hour ago, have to pick up ds at 2pm....
back in a bit :)

Where did the time go?? All of a sudden it was 430, and the oven hadn't preheated, the kids mess was still on the table although they were gone....and all I did on the list was fold the laundry and put away. THe reason the oven hasn't preheated? the bottom element is not warming. Wonderful. Let you know tomorrow how the roast was and how long it took. I must go....hubby is home, and I believe I need an aspirin. Or three.

The day started less than auspiciously w/ my No. 2 son throwing a tantrum when I told him he needed to write Thank You notes (3) instead of playing a video game before school.
Upshot: Notes didn't get written and I had to drive him to school because he missed the bus.
I'll be taking the notes over to his mother's (where he goes after school today) and he'll need to write them there [unless she and I agree it's better for him to do them here when he returns Thursday... I don't think so...]

MIT#5: Project TY [the thank you note thing and ancillary matters.]
I've put a block in every day at the beginning of the day for transcribing interviews. I'll have to review whether I need to do any for MIT#1 and MIT#2.
Going to chatbox
Update 8:25 PM
Got MIT#1 about half done.
Did what I had to for MIT#5.
Nothing else done on the rest.

CL ci - hopeful
i started the day hopeful that the things i've been doing in my recovery were going to work. What a blessing! I am so accustomed to starting assuming that i will fail.
Chat is not working for me. I guess i'll try clearing the cache. didnt work. now i guess i'll try re-opening the browser.
i'm going to do my ci w/ chat (or here) my timer, and my hourly song to try to maintain awareness.
chat worked -- after i closed browser and restarted.

Hope-Faith CI 8:05
Hi all I have been a bit silent here over the last 5 days, I have also been struggling from something, can not put my finger on it but it is effecting me both emotional and physically. My whole body feels drained and my mind is numb I just can not seem to push myself forward. I have gotten behind and I am very discouraged and feel like I can not make the things happen that need to happen. I am hoping that Checking In and posting what needs to be done will help to get the ball rolling.
CI done and honestly I am not feeling any better heading into chat to hopefully get moving.

I feel for you
I am always amazed at the amount of things on your to-do list! I understand you are a teacher, and there are many things that you must do to keep your classroom moving forward - AND YOU DO DO THAT. You may feel slow and sluggish, but you are still achieving so much in keeping your class moving, as well as your home. I do feel for you, that you just aren't up to par, and I am glad you are back here. Please take some mini-breaks for yourself - 5 minutes here and there to close your eyes and relax and refocus. You are doing wonderfully, HopeFaith!

Thank you
Wish I had time to say more but I am behind. Thank You.

kromer 7:50 CI
Today I have 5 hours of class, so that will take up most of the day.
Other than that, I have a number of tasks to work on. I'm going to take care of some small stuff until 9:15, then head to class.
Small morning tasks:
*Clean room, change sheets
*
Do dishes, pack lunch*
Make doctor appt. and dentist appt.*
Buy trash can*
Deal w/ SCALES website*
Type up church contact list*Finish sig/sys chpt. 4
*Figure out where I stand on rotation choice
These are all really small tasks, so I think I can finish them all in the next hour and a half. I'll start with contact list, SCALES and trash can.
kromer 6 CI
Made decent progress on my list of small morning tasks, went to all my class, ended up having dentist appt. today, now I'm home.
This evening, my immediate tasks are to:
*
Make dinner + enough leftovers to last me for a few days*
Clean my room+organize papers+deal w/ email*
Order some things I urgently need (including books for class)*Figure out where I stand on class/rotation choice
These tasks will give me a good foundation for the rest of the week.
If I have time, I would also like to:
*Brainstorm strategy for sequence analysis
*Refine mixture model
*Write algorithm summary
*Finish answering WM questions
OK, off to cook dinner now.
