Hi Pro Buddies!

I've got a volunteer activity uptown tonight, so I'm not going to go home after work, since I'm already uptown. I'll just do some stuff around here while I'm waiting, or maybe walk over to another building or something. I'm doing my daily CI now, since I may get home too late to get on the computer.

Morning: I'm doing great at the gym, & happy to be getting back on my routine :) I'm getting projects done at work. This week has been busy, but tomorrow I think I can do some more Catch Up ;)

Lunch: I had a Chik-Fil-A salad, and resisted temptation at some sales. Paid a bill.

Afternoon: meet with someone who needed my help, and did their project.

9:20pm. Had to check something on computer. Or, tried to check it, but couldn't access all of it.
Also, trying to unwind a little. It was very noisy at the location where we had our meeting, so I need to veg a little before bedtime. However, at the meeting, everyone liked my ideas, so that is good!

Th-th-that's all, folks! ;) Have a great night, everyone! :)

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

e back on thursday

Hello! After my extremely productive day on Tuesday I slept most of yesterday and then spent most of the day dealing with running children around in the hideous weather and shoveling. I forgot to eat breakfast until late in the afternoon and was trembling, so I am paying the price physically today and am having a hard time getting started.

I am caught in a good book which is quite enticing: luckily it has many small chapters, so I think I am going to use them as breaks in between small tasks today.

I'm in a zone where I just want to knock out one task after the other. Crazy.

But I don't think it'll be helpful to bookend things today. I'm just here to pledge my diligence for the day.

GeorgeSmiley 8:35 AM + Updates

Spent the last half hour just catching up from yesterday's email when I was out of the office.

That happens a lot. I need to figure out how to manage email that piles up when I'm away. I can see it from the server when I'm away, but I tend not to delete it because I want to be able to process it into my Outlook calendar/tasklist/contacts list.

I'll have to figure out another approach, I think.

ANYHOW...

Today's MIT#1: Take quiet time w/ my Thich Nhat Hanh book.

MIT#2: Work through my outlook task pad for an hour or so, then set rest of day's priorities.

Will go to chatbox after MIT#1.

Update 2:10 PM

Several tasks accomplished.(No time to list now)

Off to run errands. Not sure if I'll return later.

Journey 9 am

Good morning!  I was up at 4:45 and at the gym at 5:32 (2 minutes late for my class).  This still needs work!  Why can't I get up just 15 minutes earlier lol??

Anyway, so far today I have been to the gym, commuted to the office, read email.  I'm going for coffee then making my todo list for the day.  I'm going to try adding a step to the morning routine . . . journal my intentions for the day before 5 minutes Quiet Time.  or maybe after.   I'll have to see which works best, or maybe which one HP prefers!  I don't want the journal entry to be a repeat of the todo list, it should be something . . .diffent.  je ne sais pas.  This is an experiment, so I'll just see how it goes.   That reminds me that I wanted to ask you guys about affirmations.   I'll post a question about that in the Q&A forum later.

Now, coffee ftw! (ftw = for the win, for you non-gamers)

affirmations   hi

affirmations

hi journey, I'm really interested in what you and others will say about this because they really  helped me  in the past, just as I was starting here; now I hope to learn how others use them and then to use them more systematically...

@Chick re:affirmations

Yes, thanks for the reminder!  I'll go post my question now in Q&A!  Although you won't learn much from me when it comes to affirmations :)

I've really been falling off--too many things to do, anxiety, need to focus on one at a time and have the faith that I can do all this. Been working in chat.

  8. CO for the night. My daily routines for the day went well and I am pleased with my focus and progress. I however, am feeling very overwhelmed. My daily routines are not enough to get me past all of my past procrastination (and present) that has put me in the deep hole that I am in. I am very discouraged and feel as if there is no hope, matter how hard I try. I hate to end the day on such a negative note, but it is where I am at emotionally and physically. Tonight I was so overwhelmed that I had to lay down and take a nap to overcome the emotional drain that I felt. Anyway it helps to express this here and  my emotional stress feels a bit lighter. The only thing to do is to get up and try again tomorrow. Good Night All.
