Recycler CI 6:15pm EST

Hi!

Oh, what a cute frog! Thanks, Hope-Faith! :)

Yesterday I got home very late, and did not get to check in at all, oops, sorry! :o

Voted this morning before work. The line took just under an hour, which is pretty good around here. I forget to get my "Voted" sticker, though ;)

Was at work on time. Did projects today. Ate fast food lunch. More projects in afternoon. Now, using computer before I go to my support group tonight. (We are still going to meet, but may finish up a little early since it is Election Night ;)

Next: decide on something to take over to the new condo, then go to meeting.

Have a great night, everyone! :)

Recycler

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

chick late CI

today was mainly scheduled stuff, so I didn't check in.

I lost a lot of time with no focus when I got home after work; now want to think about ways to make evening either really productive or more relaxing, and ask HP for help making the same kind of change here that I have made (since starting here) with the first morning hours.

Thanks for being here, all.

Journey 2:20 Update 4:20

Well, once I finally got started I got a lot done on MIT #1.  Taking lunch break now.

Check back in 45 min or so.

Back!  Working on MIT #1 for about 30 more minutes, then moving on to something else.

MIT #1 is done, now finally moving on to MIT #2, which is a phone call.  If I'm lucky, it will be too late and they will be gone for the day :)

Convalaria Struggling with paralysis Wednesday 4.30am

 Good morning every one.
The struggle and paralysis go on.
A lot of time wasted. I have found my self paralysed and unable to function for most of the time that I am not scheduled by outside activities and committments. Time that could have been spent in real leisure or in being productive wasted by supressed anxiety and demand resisitance. Something has got to change...Not sure how to move myself forward.....
Trying again:

Onwards!!! The MIT's and MUT's coincide this morning.   Finish writing response. Finish preparing examB (easy) and finish preparing exam S (a bit more work) during the day.  Also hoping to start again with eating plan and to buy stuff for animal  and a treat for me after work.

This morning I shall work in 30 minute bits.

  • 30 minutes response
  • 30 minutes getting ready for work
  • 30 minutes response
  • 30 minutes housework
  • 30 minutes response
  • 30 minute doggy walk
  • leave for work at 7.30
  • check in when I arrive at work with plan for time at work.

"Recovery from procrastination means doing what you say you're going to do, when you say you're going to do it."

Keep going Convalaria. I

Keep going Convalaria. I think you do amazingly getting going and doing so much even before you have gotten to work.

Convalaria at 18.34pm Wednesday.

Congratulation to all of those living in the USA.  You have a new president and what a marvellous process it has been!

As for me.....well the day has been fairly sucessfull. Before work did not quite carry out the schedule but did enough and left for work early.  At work I was frantically busy and completed and delivered most of response. Supervised my quota of exams and carried out my responsibilites in the setting and prep of 2 examination papers, It was difficult to take breaks and I arrived home quite thirsty and hungry. I did do a few errands after school including buying doggy bones and a battery for a pedometer. The indulgent t treat I am planning for myself will have to wait until tomorrow or Friday.
At home have had some vegetable soup, loaded the washing machine and spent time with my mother.

So far fo good. Next .....

  • i choose to walk doggy for about 15 minutes and try out the pedometer
  • fix dinner for son and finish my own meal
  • 15 minutes on bills
  • 30 minutes grading
  • pamper mission (read brush and floss teeth and moisturise dry bits on body for about 15 minues)
  • another 30 minutes grading papers
  • dump warer on garden
  • check in when abobe is done

4.  Photography Homework

7. Typography homework

GeorgeSmiley 9:30 AM + Updates

I've been working about an hour. So far mostly administrative "ducks in a row" tasks.

Right now I need to step back and set priorities for the balance of the day...

~I need to advance considerably Project DG, which is due in a little less than 2 weeks. One challenge is that all the contacts are two hours earlier than me, so I have to wait until later in the day to contact them.

~Project K-5: (an editing project). I need to do at least a first read.

~Project P-0901: Deadline is "any day." But today will be a bad day to try to reach anyone connected with it.

~Project U: This has been lagging for too long. So has Project D. And Project G.

And to top that all off, I have to strongly resist surfing political blogs to see what's going on today, when of course nothing will be known until tonight...

Then there's project O, the youth class I co-teach. A lot of prep to do for this weekend's special class.Update 3 PM: Finished the immediate prep.

OK. I'm going to spend 30 minutes on Project K-5

Update 10 AM

Switching now to project P0901

Update 10:40 AM

Got distracted for the last 40 minutes with snacking and checking the news.

Now Project P0901

Update 12:35 PM

Lunch and errandsstartting about 40 minutes ago.

Now working on Project DG.

Update 3 PM

I made some progress on Project DG. I also took care of Project O.

Got distracted again, but now back to project K-5

Will work til 3:30 than go to my evening job. Might not check in again.

CL ci

i started to do better yesterday. But then wasted a lot of sleep time last night :( But last night did not discourage me as much as Sun did.

Thanks for all the support from my friends here. i'll post a thank you in yesterday.

I am starting to feel like my setback was HP confirming to me Step 1-2: i am powerless w/o HP, but HP is powerful. And encouraging my response of Step 3.

I'm taking today off to...start planning christmas. It's the most important holiday to me, and yet it is often commercialized and hectic, and i dont get to enjoy it. I've been working on fixing that for the past 2 years, and after last christmas i felt i should take a day in early nov to kick the season off, to not get behind, so i can think about my loved ones and friends and what gifts they might like in leisure. So it can be the pleasant, joyous occasion it's meant to be.

So, perhaps, if HP orchestrates the events of my life like i believe, this setback, and what it might be teaching me, was well-timed before today's purpose?

we'll see how it goes...

Journey 8:45 UPDATE 11:00

Good morning!  I am working from home today, which means that I can use Firefox instead of IE yay!  I always have to mess around with my posts on IE to get them to look right, but Firefox is much better.
So far today, I have been to the gym, stopped by the grocery store for a couple of items, made some cinnamon rolls, had 5 minutes of quiet time, then booted up my work computer . . .and then goofed around for half an hour.
Bookending my daystarter now, then I can take a break to change clothes and medicate the dog.
Hopefully will be checking in quite often today to keep on track.  have a great Tuesday and be sure to VOTE!  I did the early voting thing, so I'm done.

Update 11:00 daystarter done, but since then I've been kinda piddling around, doing some email, and goofing off again.  Haven't even gotten dressed yet.  going to get dressed and medicate the dog now, then prepare for noon meeting.

I've got a lot of work to get done this morning. Here's the plan for the day

1)Start calculation using clustering
2)Read 2 papers
3)Genetics class
4)Seminar class
5)Pick up subway pass
6)Look at results from clustering
7)Try c-t-f idea
8)Briefly look at interactome8)Make organized list of test datasets
9)Notes for mtg, mtg, notes after mtg
10)Bio colloquium
11)Write note to JL, mail that note+money market acct. app
12)Spend 1 hr gathering lit search results
13)Watch the election!

OK, time to get going!

kromer 1 CI

I did 1-4, and had some lunch. Now I have to get ready for mtg at 3:30--argh!  I just need to take things one step at a time...I'm not going to be fabulously well prepared, but I think I've done a non-embarassing amt. of work.

I'm going to quickly go get subway pass, then work on tasks 6-9. Will work in the chatbox to stay on track.

kromer 5:15 CI

Making pretty good progress:

I got subway pass, tried c-t-f idea, started looking at clust results (though I still have about 30 min of work to finish this up), got organized list of test datasets, met w/ PF and took notes on mtg, went to bio colloquium.

I think looking at the interactome isn't going to happen today, but I should be able to get through the rest of my list. Now I'm going to head head, mail 2 things, have dinner, and then work on gathering lit. search res. while I watch election returns.

Update 6:50--I set up money market acct. Now I need to write a note to JL--should take about 5 min. Then I'll mail that, then start watching returns
