TO DO:

1.  Clean the doghouse!
2.  Then relax with a book

pro's CI - 7:35pm (staring at a huge pile of dishes)

I've got a lot of dishes to wash and I'm not feeling well today and don't feel like it. I don't suppose any of you would like to come over and wash them for me? :P

update on the furnace

By the way, after multiple heat outages this winter, my landlord has decided to kill us all with excess heat. It's 80 degress in here with one of the radiators off. Never in all the years I've lived here has there been too much heat! There's something wrong with the second radiator and I can't turn it off completely so I have a window open, which my heat-loving plants do not appreciate.

too hot!

Yuck! That would drive me bonkers! Or just plain paralyze me. I operate best at 68 degrees F.

80 degrees is just right for me!  It's 70 in my house right now - I wearing a sweater and I'm still cold!

Falcon CI - drat the sleet!

Phooey!  I really wanted to go to my class today, but they're predicting nasty black-ice weather JUST when I'd be coming & going.  Murphy's Law in effect.  Hmph.  Grumble.

To do:

  • Quit kvetching already!
  • Take a shower
  • Put on bright, spring-evoking sweater
  • Gather books & walk to library
  • Call K.

Falcon

Falcon CI - back from walk

O.k., I did all of the above -- I even quit kvetching.  The weather's not to bad, and K & I are going to get together to play & do some artwork.

Bad weather and "evoking" Spring

I'm not sure where you are Falcon, but we get the same weather at the same time. This winter is screwing up my plans. At least the sunshine lasts alot longer now. I'm digging out some spring clothing too. It can't hurt.

Evoking spring

Hi lark,

I'm in the northeastern U.S.  Like you, I'm really glad the days are getting longer!  Around this time of year I start getting a craving for bright colors.  I went to a quilt exhibition a couple of weeks ago, mostly quilts by African American artists, with lots of African themes of sun and rich colors.  It was just enough to keep me going for a while!  Now I'm hauling out all the brightest clothes I can find.  Spring will be here soon and we're gonna make it!

kromer 8:45 CI

Yesterday, I got a lot of biochem done, but not much senior thesis-ing (all I did was start fixing TAMO bug)

Today, I need to plow forward on biochem, catch up on senior thesis, and prep for bio interviews.

*Do pset 2 MIT
*Review pset 1 answers

Other tasks:

*Spanish HW for Tues
*Return lib. books MIT
*Go running MIT
*Update calendar MIT

kromer 2:30 CI

I'm going a bit slower than I'd like, but I have made some progress.

I have:
Reviewed lecture 3 (also lects. 4 and most of 5) for biochem
Gone running (was pretty slow because of the snow, but at least I went)
Made good progress on pset
Had a healthy lunch

Next up:
I'm a bit stuck on biochem, so my step-by-step plan is:
*Answer pset questions 1 and 2a, do easy parts of question 3 (Done)
*Finish pset question 2b (Done)
*Read paper to help with pset
*Answer pset question 3a (Done)
This should take about an hour
Then, I'll take a short break and work out cooking schedule (Done, though I need to discuss it at house mtg tomorrow)/update calendar
Then, I'll work on senior thesis...check back in with a detailed plan for that.

kromer 5:20 biochem is SO SLOW

mostly done with it, need to move on!

Interview dinner is at 7, so I need to start gearing up for that (I want to be ready to leave by a little after 6)
To do:
Review application, print out info
Get dressed
Pack briefcase (including !$#% library book that's weeks overdue)
Leave (be waiting for bus by 6:05)
Pick up folder
In free time, print out info on interviewers/sign up for activities
Dinner at 7
Go to at least 30 min of social after party
Return library books
Go home and work on senior thesis (I'm so behind on this!)

good job on the biochem!!

Focus on where you succeeded, okay? If you feel good about yourself, you'll be able to work better. I know for me, the madder I am at myself, the less I do.

What's "TAMO bug"?
