Today was not much fun, I wanted to be off work again and I had major brain fog trying to work on my big project, but I was quite little miss productive in spite of all that. Now if I can keep that momentum going throughout the evening, I will be a happy camper!

My family and I are visiting the inlaws for a couple of days...it's being called a vacation. If you have inlaws, you can probably see the contraction in terms. They're not bad people, and I need to keep telling this to myself. My work for the next few days is to dig in to my own s* and make good of what's not my ideal.
I am noticing a lot of struggling in check-ins in the last few days. More than at other times...maybe I'm projecting. My first reaction is tenderness and also gratitude. I'm grateful to be part of this forum. Hang in there.
I have wonderful in-laws. Too bad my husband can't make the same claim :)
But, I've noticed the same thing about trends on the forum - seems most of us are either doing well, or most of us are having a hard time. Maybe I just notice the posts that are most like mine, or maybe it's the phase of the moon or something!

Not that I usually pay much attention to these things, but there was a superb lunar eclipse last night and it was the second eclipse in a month. I found this out today when I asked a friend about the 'bad vibes' going around the college today....
OK, I have an hour to get some real work done before my next meeting and I'm wasting it mooning around and feeling overburdened and unappreciated. Snapping out of it now.

Wow, first chance I've had to check in so far today. I only had two days off work but it feels like coming back from a week's vacation. I had back-to-back meetings all morning, I have a lunch meeting and then another meeting at 2:00. When am I supposed to get my work done lol?
The subject line refers to what I've been eating ever since my Dad's birthday on Feb. 10. I've been living on junk food for over a week, and only going to the gym sporadically. Today is the day we get back to healthy eating and working out.

Well, I had an interesting day today. I decided to focus just on a few things, which is not a new strategy itself for me, but most importantly, resist adding anything to the list if I did get done with what I had planned. This is because I have this firmly rooted belief that work never ends, that if I finish, only more will be waiting, so why bother.
And ... it worked! I finished my plan for the day, and did not do one more "work" thing. It felt so weird, but so liberating. I will do the same tomorrow.

Hi pro,
Are you getting enough sleep? Getting up early without having slept enough (whatever that is for you) is really hard. I am a natural early riser, but not if I don't go to bed when I have to!
...and this is why I make lists (mind like a sieve)
To Do, continued
- Clear spam folder (I know for sure there's misfiled email in there).
- Check on missing prescription-by-mail (might do this from work).
