I was distracted & found myself procrastinating at work this morning, so I went to lunch a little earlier than usual, and came back & spent the afternoon really focusing. I'm glad I was able to pull up my socks & get some things in order -- it'll be better now going in on Monday.
Tonight I intend to
Eat dinner Spend an hour doing chores (probably a (10 + 2) * 5 dash) And then I can practice music (which is fun) for half an hour before bed.

Good morning everyone! I ususally put in the little boxes, but it takes so long I've decided to do it this way today. I got a little done yesterday but I'm still behind on my grading and I'm still not finding time for work-related writing that needs to be done. I'm putting it down on my list so maybe that will help.

This is kind of unbelievable, but I may as well confess. I picked up my mail (so far so good), and I'm sitting here because I can't decide whether to ride my bike to work, or to walk. Augh!! I guess I'll walk.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
It's 9:30am and I'm ready to leave for work. That's progress! I think, since it's relatively early (for me) that I will stop and get my mail. I won't have another opportunity for a few days. That will take another 10 minutes, but that's okay.
I'm showered and partly dressed, and I just finished breakfast. I have a package waiting for me at Mailboxes, Etc. and I'm thinking of running down there to pick it up. I won't have time after work, and I won't be able to do it tomorrow, either.
OK, I got to work at a reasonable time this morning - now I need to use this first hour to get organized before my 9:30 meeting, instead of goofing around and daydreaming until the last minute then walking into the meeting late. I'm really trying to work on being on time for things. I'm at least five minutes late everywhere I go.
8:30-9:00 email, coffee, plan the work day 9:00-9:30 prepare deposit 9:30 -11:30 project meeting 11:30- 1:00 pick up car at shop and hit the bank on the way 1:00 - we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
OK, I should have planned the afternoon while I was planning this morning. Got back late from getting the car then fell into a black hole for an hour and 45 minutes :O
Getting back on task right now, I have 2 hours to work on Project 2 and half an hour to plan for stuff happening over the weekend, and plan a "getting started" task for Monday morning.
Hi Journey, I can relate to your comment about being 5 minutes late wherever you go. That's something I've really been trying to work on. I'm still late a lot of times, but I'm doing better. Hope you have a good day!
I hope to get moving early today. Not only do I have regular "work" that needs attended to today, but I also have lots of house-type things to do. My flooring project looks nice, but has caused alot of clutter, and even a door is removed. My workshop is a total mess also. I'll be setting the timer for several 15 minute cleaning marathns throughout the day. I guess the keywords for today will be "progress, not perfection"! (Hmm, maybe we can post a word of encouragement or slogan every day or so?) To do: morning routine spiritual time focus on work project A repair seat in workshop clean workshop somewhat get door back together in house work half an hour on work project B put away all laundry I can stop at client's house check in again--regularly
I woke up at 7:30am - not too bad. Except I'm still having nightmares every night about something really hard that happened in my life. My brain is still working through it. The nightmares are horrible. They cause me to wake up feeling upset and weird rather than rested.
I didn't wash the dishes last night so I'd better go do that now - it will take a lot of time out of my morning.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
I have not been here for a few months and my life is showing it: I have been paralized with anxiety to the point that I cannot get ready for a trip that I leave for tomorrow. I have not done anything productive yet today so I am here to check in. Baby steps so this is for the next hour.

I was recently wondering how you were dong. I also liked to read your previous posts, and I'm glad you're back. You pretty much know what to do--break the day down into "bite-sized" periods, and try to focus on what needs to be done. Sometimes it even helps me to make a list of what doesn't have to be done. I'm sure everything will be fine.
This may work well by posting the night before. Glad you started the thread Pro. My house is torn up with repair work, my workshop looks like a recycling center, and my lawn seems to connect the two. Way too much stuff going at one time. I need to focus on the main project for work, and then start to finish some small projects. I'll check in in the morning. Night all.
Friday night

My problems with being on time seem to be intermittent (or maybe, situational), but I know how hard it is to overcome. So big congratulations!!
