Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
I'm procrastinating on doing what I need to do before going to bed - brush teeth, take shower, wash dishes, take pills, etc. I should have gone to bed hours ago. I'm tired, and I have to get up early because I'm traveling tomorrow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
What I've been doing instead of my bedtime routine, by the way, is figuring out how much my mail scale is off by weighing various combinations of coins. I now know to add 0.1 ounce to anything I weigh. It's off by slightly less than 0.1 ounce, so if I add this much I'll always have enough postage.
If I want to continue procrastinating on bed, perhaps I can water the plants. I'll be gone for a week, so I need to do that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
I got in a fender bender yesterday -- argh! I want to make sure it doesn't derail my doing what I need to do today, however, although I do need to to the things associated with that. Acceptance. And gratitude that no one was hurt.

I found my person by just searching on the internet. I used Alison Miller and was very pleased with her. Her website is at http://www.lifeessentialscoaching.com/index.html. Most coaches offer a free consultation call so you can have a chance to talk with them to determine if they are the right person for you to work with. Some offer help with the actual writing process-for example, editing your work or helping with literature review. I talked to someone who did that first and she was much more expensive. I didn't think I needed help with that, only with time management and that is what Alison offered. So it is important to see what services they offer and talk to them to see if you think they are a good match. Good luck with finding the right person!
I have a funny motivation for getting out early this morning. My Stiletto arrived yesterday (Sirius satellite radio), and I want to listen to it while walking to work. :)
Next week I'm on vacation. I'll have my computer, but mostly to police spammers - I won't be online much.

when he's finished out to collect visa
possibly some holiday shopping and money
Floorer came late and did a good job and there is dust everywhere and I've cleaned up once and its come down again. No problem with visa and I went out to lunch as I didn't want to be in the room with the smell of sealer and the dust. So now I'm going to get some rest.
1. Complete 2 Word lists 2. Complete 50% of Chapter 2 from Kaplan Fat Book 3 Complete 5 (analogy-fill in the blanks-antonyms) tests from Big Book
One thing I have to mention to get it of my chest: The last time u saw me on this forum was on Monday. And I haven't logged on since then. Guess what I was upto. Procrastination is going to ruin my life if I dont do anything about it right now. So I pledge that from now on I will log on everyday to participate in the check-ins on this forum. If you find me gone for more than one day, it means I am procrastinating. :sad: But I wont! Btw my time zone is +5:30GMT, so I might be starting threads early and perhaps running side by side other threads. :laugh:
Its exactly 2:54PM here and I have just completed 1 word list. That is I have been able to just complete 1% of my TODO list. :sad: I feel so sad about this. This is partly because I didn't sleep in the night so I slept of in the morning after breakfast and woke up at 2pm!!! Yes my sleep cycle is also in a mess. Well something inside me tells me I can complete what I have set out for in the next round. So here goes:
TODO by 11:30pm:
1. Complete 2 Word lists 2. Complete 50% of Chapter 2 from Kaplan Fat Book 3 Complete 5 (analogy-fill in the blanks-antonyms) tests from Big Book
Same goals but with pure determination this time. Dont count on me to quit
I am done with todo 1 & 2. But still havent finished what I should have done at 2pm. I slept again around 6pm. I am lazy and also not able to predict the right time I would need to finish the tasks. The day is about to end. So many negative feeling inside my head. This is one of my lowest points in life. But I must improve. God is testing me.

Complications
A family crisis has emerged, but "for today" maybe I don't have to let it totally derail me.
done:
fertility treatment
called insurance company
to do:
45 min work on dissertation
file police report.
I hate to do this, but I am exhausted with the other crisis that came up, so I will probably not do the police report today.
I am going to a DA meeting. Will try to do some dissertation work when I return.
Thank you all for this forum. It means a lot!

Dissertation Coach
Julie,
Were you the one who posted that you hired a dissertation coach?
Thanks to your example, I am looking for one. Do you have any suggestions for me on how to locate a good match?
Best,

As you can see I totaly
As you can see I totaly screwed up the schedule today. But I have learnt a lot from trying:
Things I learnt:
1.Make conservative estimates about how much time is required
2.Become more disciplined
3.You win in the end if you can ignore negative thoughts.
See you all tmrw...... this time its gonna be better :)
