pro's last check-in - midnight

I did a lot of cleaning and straightening today. I'm absorbing a lot of additional stuff into a tiny apartment. I dusted a very-hard-to-dust bit of shelving that I only dust every year or two. It gets gross, but it takes hours and hours. There are a lot of little things on those shelves.

My apartment is over-capacity in some areas and I need to get rid of some stuff. My desk is stacked with things I need to handle. That's what I'll work on tomorrow.

Mark CI 3:17 PM EST

10 things to be done:

  1. mail mortgage payment
  2. attend arts bazaar in Northern Liberties
  3. implement newly added requirements for outreach
  4. clean office
  5. finish Pagels book
  6. food shop
  7. read to Phoebe
  8. file loose papers in office
  9. watch a movie
  10. cardio/stretch

pro's CI - 12:45pm

What I've done so far:

  • Put away most of the stuff littered all over my apartment (except the stuff I couldn't think of where to put yet).
  • Dusted TV area (as best I could - ran out of paper towels).
  • Dusted file cabinet and stuff on top.
  • Dusted bathroom.
  • Washed bathroom sink, toilet, and tub.
  • Washed dishes.
  • Swept and washed bathroom floor (after getting everything off the floor).
  • Put the bathroom back together.
  • Took a shower (not yet dressed).

My back is hurting me quite a bit. It's been hurting in general, but this morning's housework made it worse. I'm going to rest for a bit before I leave for my friend's reading. I should get some lunch. There's nothing to eat here.

My back was hurting, too

Hi pro
I do not remember my back hurting  in my life before (I am 58 years of age). But my back started soon to hurt when I stopped procrastinating some weeks ago. A few days my back was really hurting so it was difficult to start walking and walk.  Then I returned to procrastinating  and my back did not hurt any more. Today I try again not to procrastinate but my back pain has not shown up (yet).

I think when my disease cannot manifest oneself by procrastinatin when I refuse to procrastinate it has to find some other way to show its ugly face and bring me trouble. And that is why I had back pain. When I work the 12 steps and especially the steps from 4 to 7 I get rid of character defects and when that happens the power of my desease (procrastination) gets weaker.

I have some place I want to be by 2pm, so I need to shower and dress after I put the bathroom back together. I have other errands to do today - I don't know how I'll finish everything. Maybe it will be faster if I ride my bike rather than walk.

pro's CI - 11:30am

I've been cleaning my apartment all morning. It started off so horrible in here that I can't possibly finish everything, but it will be better and that's good enough. I picked up and put away as much as I could (for now). Now I'm cleaning the bathroom, which is beyond filthy, all the more so because the plumber was here yesterday snaking out the main line (and the tub still does not drain).
