Good day all! Just now catching a breath from the kids. DD1 is sleeping and DD4 is outside playing. Though the kids have had most of my attention this morning, I still have gotten some things done. Yesterday was almost a complete blow off. I just didn't feel very rested or focused. So instead of trying to force myself to do things and getting in a terrible mood because of it, I decided to just take the day off. I have been working hard lately getting things done and so felt I could take a day off with few repercutions<-sp?. Anyhow.. I'm feeling better today and back on track. I am struggling a bit trying to get things done and take care of the kids and give them the attention they need. I get frustrated sometimes, b/c even when I keep the list very short, that I just can't get it all done. I was wondering if anyone else who has young kids struggles with this and how you manage your feelings around it. Thanks.
Yesterday was sucked dry by a client with a self-imposed crisis. Nevertheless, I managed to keep it from spilling over into today.
Today: (X)morning things (X)heat workshop (X)put out trash (X)call client to tell him to stop by (X)do cleaning and tidying not done yesterday (X)return movie (before I own it!)
up prayer reflection meditation
deal with emails phone messages mail
post this
out shopping
bath and wash hair
sort place for landlord's maintenance
deal with maintenance people
out to craft class
relax
prayer and meditation
bed and sleep
There are some other things I want to do but I don't realistically think I have time.
Just finished the bath bit. It's just after 12.00 and I'm not expecting the maintenance people till 2.00ish and I'm finding it hard to concentrate on anything. It will take about 5 minutes to clear the place ready for the workers.
Worker came over an hour and a half late. I waited and tried to work in my room, strange noises came from the kitchen and he has stripped away about 60 tiles and says he can't replace them and they will need to get a contractor in. I am fed up. I had told my landlord months ago that the tiles were not stuck on properly. Suppose it's a small matter but I've had enough and am going to rest in bed.
