I am normally at a client's today. I didn't go today. In fact I told them I was sick when I wasn't. This. Is. Not. Good. i was trying to avoid a particular meeting that always stresses me out because an issue that is one of my biggest procras areas comes up. Every other time I have gone, I have avoided the issue, said I'd sort it, prepared reports that didn't really explain. Last time I admitted I had a problem with it, but I haven't fixed it, it's still the same and I haven't even accepted the help that was offered. So for the first time in 2 years of this issue I did something I had been dreaming of doing, which is call in sick to avoid dealing with it. And you know what? Because I made the decision last night - I slept pretty well. I knew I would not have to face it, so the worry went away - albeit temporarily. How have I got myself here? This is a new low. I'd been worrying about it for 3/4 days. Not really eating well, waking early, being irratable.

And now I have the choice of lying to my DH too, or admitting that I cut work to avoid something, like an 11 yo trying to get out of doing sport. I don't want to lie anymore, especially not to him. He knows I'm in trouble and that I just can't see the way out still.

Until then, I need to do something constructive to prove to myself I am not completely useless.

Today I will:
