ADHD
Hello Fellow procrastinators!!
I'm new here & would like to know if there are any other members with ADHD as many/most of the symptoms are identical.
Thank you...

ADHD and procrastination
I haven't been diagnosed, yet, but after ignoring multiple hints by others over the years a random discovery followed by a couple of days worth of research finally convinced me that I may have ADHD. The symptoms just fit like a glove.
After 20+ years of battling procrastination, beating up on myself, bludgeoning myself through workdays, having my career and not to mention my private life all but derailed, seeing therapist after therapist, trying every possible time managment trick that anyone has ever put into a book or on the internet, it might turn out it was just some genetic neurological flaw in my brain all along.
Right now, I feel both devastated and elated at the same time.
not necessarily
I don't have ADD or ADHD.
I procrastinate due to
"demand resistance" (resistance to plans & suggestions),
perfectionism,
anxiety, fear, and overwhelm.
This syndrome has become such a many-years ingrained response for me that it's become an addiction.
So although some of my behaviors may *appear* to be the same as ADD/ADHD, ....
they aren't the same thing for me.
However, there may be people who have my issues .. AND also have ADD/ADHD. It's possible.
Thank you!!
Thank you!!
