Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
just saw the movie "courageous" which was incredibly good and inspiring.
trouble is, my problem keeps me from being the strong, dependable leader that movie inspires men to be.
i have achieved some level of success in recovery in the past here, and let my habit of checking in, etc, fade away because i was doing better.
Now on the heels of that movie, and with a renewed commitment to be strong for my family, someone they can depend on, i have allowd my disease to cause me to let my family down. i took car #1 on an errand with my wife's keys in it, and so my wife could not attend her appointment (even in car #2 cuz i had her keys) and so she had to reschedule. and i forgot my phone so she couldnt call me. I'm guessing that sounds familiar to some here.
And i am 45 yrs old and this has been with me since i was 15 so i can't just promise myself and her that it will not happen again. Because i know it will.
But, i do have a proven method of at least reducing, at least addressing / attacking / managing my problem, so as to make it at least less likely that i will let my family down again.
and so i will check-in here. and take my medicine like a big boy.

Going to try to make a routine. And try to do my hw in the kitchen rather than on my comfy bed.

Now back to the grindstone, but feeling refreshed and energized. Off to do my first MIT then finish up todo list for the day.
